Anxiety is by no means a fun thing to deal with. But for a lot of people, it's a part of their daily lives. For some, medication is the answer. For others, a more natural approach is the way to go. If you're more inclined towards the natural remedies, here are some.
1. Take A Bath
It may not be a hot bath because your nerves are at their wit's end, but not having to focus on anything else for a while sure does wonders.
2. Light Some Candles
Between the smell and the light flickering, it's just relaxing.
3. Meditate
Take some time to just relax and re-center yourself.
4. Journal
Writing down how your day was, thinking of something better, or writing down your triggers will help you avoid them in the future.
5. Color
With adult coloring books coming back in style, grab yourself some pencils and get to coloring.
6. Hot Tea
Take some time to have yourself a hot glass of tea and relax. Put some honey and sugar in it and relax.
7. Work Out
Get some of that anxiety out by going for a run or your exercise of choice.
8. Nap
If you can sleep, this is always one of the best options. Often, stress is one of the triggers for anxiety. Stress is only made worse if you aren't rested.
9. Read A Book
The page turning sometimes is just enough physical stimulus while the reading keeps your mind just busy enough.
10. Watch A Movie
Get yourself lost in someone else's world for just a little while and you may forget about what was making you so anxious in your world.
11. Just Sit
Sometimes, you just need to take a breather from being around people. That's fine too. Just sit in a dark room and come down from the anxiety attack.
