10 YouTubers You Should Be Watching
The Telegraph

You've probably heard of Bethany Mota, Miranda Sings, and Tyler Oakley, but the YouTube universe doesn't end there! There are thousands of channels from beauty gurus to musicians to comedians, which pretty much guarantees you'll find something you'll like. Here are ten YouTubers under one-million subscribers who you should definitely check out.

1. Studyign

Studyign is an absolute must-watch channel for students. Although videos are made by a high school senior, much of the advice given on this channel is applicable to college students as well. The creator of this channel provides you with a wide variety of tips when it comes to studying, making it pretty likely you'll find something that fits your study style. In addition, there are multiple videos on staying organized in general, with planners and bullet journals!

2. Kati Morton

Kati's channel is vastly different from other channels I watch in terms of content, but I am so glad I came across it. Kati Morton is a licensed therapist who creates videos about mental illness. Topics discussed include eating disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety, on top of many more. Kati provides information as to what these mental illnesses actually are, debunking myths that we are too often confronted with when it comes to these topics. She also gives advice on how to deal with and seek help with issues you or someone you love may be facing.

3. Kevin and Lill

How this channel doesn't have ten million subscribers is mind-boggling to me. It's my favorite channel ever, along with Miranda Sings. This channel features Kevin, a teenage boy, and his Grandma Lill.. Kevin often introduces Lill to many current trends and both add their hilarious commentary. These videos never fail to make me (literally) laugh out loud.

4. Ella Berman

Ella is basically Canada's sweetheart. This year, she captured the attention of Colleen Ballinger (the wonderful human behind Miranda Sings), by writing a song for her. Her YouTube channel showcases both covers and original songs. Since then, she has branched off into making other videos as well. She very often discusses life in general, and does so in the most beautiful and eloquent way. Although she is very real and discusses having hard times, she always leaves her audience feeling optimistic and hopeful. She has inspired me so much, and I'm sure she will leave you feeling the same way!

5. Caito Potatoe

Caito Potatoe is basically everything I've ever wanted to be. She's feisty, intelligent, and her eyebrows are literally perfect. Her channel is the most wonderful mix of fabulous makeup tutorials and hilarious rants. You'll instantly wish she was your best friend after just one video.

6. Lizzie Velasquez

Lizzie Velasquez is a beautiful and incredibly strong woman. After years of receiving hate from strangers online, Lizzie has used her voice to inspire others. She encourages everyone to believe in themselves, be kind, and realize that we are all beautiful. Her bright personality and wonderful spirit are sure to make your day instantly. Lizzie uses her channel to spread her message of self-love as well as showcasing her day-to-day life!

7. Kory DeSoto

Words cannot describe how much I adore Kory DeSoto. He never fails to brighten my mood through his sassy honesty and hilarious commentary on a variety of topics. He is incredibly creative with his original video ideas and comedy, and is well on his way to becoming a top YouTuber.

8. Sydneyrella

Ladies and gents, you're looking at the next big thing when it comes to beauty gurus. Sydney is a breath of fresh air as she's not only a fantastic makeup artist, but also an incredibly authentic and fierce human being. From clothing hauls to makeup tutorials, Sydney is your go-to girl for fashion and beauty advice. Her makeup skills are unlike any I've ever seen before. You'll instantly connect with her as she expresses herself through what she's passionate about.

9. Josh Sundquist

Josh is the definition of incredible. After a battle with cancer, in which he lost one of his legs, Josh decided to showcase his wisdom and insight to the world by being a motivational speaker. He encourages his viewers to stay strong and never give up in any situation. In addition, he has this wonderful positive energy and excitement for life. He is a friend to all and continuously speaks up for wonderful causes. Not to mention, he always has the best Halloween costumes.

10. Flula

Words cannot describe the amazingness that is Flula Borg. Flula is a German DJ, musician and actor, among other talents. He is not only talented, but also a great human being. His wonderfully zany and quirky personality will make you fall in love with him instantly. Through his channel, we get an insight to his brilliant, exciting mind. If you need someone to put a smile on your face, Flula will definitely get the job done.

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
