10 Thoughts I Had During The Presidential Debate

Hillary and Donald, you drive me crazy.

1. What a great Sunday

Since Hurricane Matthew hit South Carolina on Friday, the USC vs Georgia game was moved to Sunday. Anyone that goes to USC knows that there is nothing like a big SEC game. I got to go to the game and make it home for the debate. Plus the Steelers won, which is always a plus.

2. The talk shows before the debate are the worst.

I feel like they are uncomfortable and awkward. Sorry not sorry. I really don’t want to know what you think the candidates will say, I’m ready for the real thing.

3. Twitter during the debate is great and terrible.

Those people that will defy all odds in order to defend the candidate they support are crazy. Its funny, yet really annoying. Plus you can’t state your opinion without them attacking you. I love reading what comedians have to say about the debate, it’s the bright side for me.

4. Yeah, Donald I'm not sure I respect you.

Yeah, I don’t care if you are a billionaire, try and force me to kiss you and I’ll hurt you. I hate what he says about women and how he treats them. I believe he thinks women are just supposed to be trophy wives and shut up, so no I don’t respect that.

5. Hillary is no angel either.

Hillary isn’t perfect. The email scandal makes me sick. She is truly a politician in all the worst ways.

6. It's all "he said, she said."

Yeah they are basically both terrible people. I really don’t like the "she said this" and "he said that." Since I’m stuck with you two as candidates, I'd like to hear what you will do for my country.

7. Maybe the media does hate Trump.

The media is supposed to be unbiased, but it’s almost impossible to ignore the fact that they are harsher on Trump. Maybe he deserves it, maybe he doesn’t. It’s still rather unprofessional. Even if it’s not all media some definitely do.

8. I'm really curious to see who spoke the most tonight.

I can’t tell at all. They both tend to rant and switch the subject a lot. They attack each other over and over so who knows.

9. This election stresses me out.

We really couldn’t find any better candidates?

10. It's already over?

I'm not sure how much this debate actually helped me, but thanks anyways. Ready for the next.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
