10 Things You'll Only Understand If You're Type A

OCD? Nah. Just Type A.

Over time, everyone develops their personality in a unique way. According to the Type A and Type B personality theory, there are two, very contrasting personality types. Someone who could be listed as Type B is the cool guy in every high school movie ever. Take Aaron Samuels from "Mean Girls" for example; he's super laid back, go-with-the-flow and low-maintenance. That character represents the type of person that ideally, most of us strive to be. Who doesn't want to be viewed as a chill, down-to-Earth, generally cool person to be around? Especially as a young adult, knowing who we are as individuals is so incredibly important that I can't even begin to put it into words. The reality is that not everyone can be the cool guy. Some people are so blatantly Type A that it hurts.

1. Everything has its place.

On my bedside table, there is a lamp, two remote controls and a picture frame. If anything is moved from its spot even an inch, you can bet your bottom dollar that I will notice, and I will get stressed about it.

2. You may come off as stubborn or rude.

Type A people like to do things a specific way, no matter what that may be. We are very stuck in our ways, and some people just aren't cool with that.

3. Cleaning is therapeutic.

Those nights when you decide to do the dishes at 9 p.m. and suddenly it's 3 a.m. and you've just finished disinfecting every doorknob in your house.

4. Group projects are the worst.

Let's be honest, chances are that the group doesn't work to your standard and you end up doing 99 percent of the work on your own.

5. You put a lot on your plate (probably a bit too much).

Everyone loves someone who can multitask all the time, but you may be pushing things a little too far when you're sleeping an average of 16 hours per week.

6. You might be high maintenance.

Everyone likes to have things done to their liking, but people like us are far more likely to have a meltdown when their iced tea comes out with four liquid sugar pumps instead of three.

7. Flaky people drive you crazy.

Planning is everything, so when people flake out on plans at the last second, they might as well have a death wish.

8. You're incredibly organized.

Being organized saves lives. I'm not exaggerating at all. There is nothing better than making a check list of everything you have to do, then checking each thing off one by one as you accomplish your goals and conquer the universe.

9. You're very resistant to change.

If everything could just stay the same forever, we would be able to keep our sanity. Unfortunately, life likes to throw curve balls and we don't have very good hand-eye coordination.

10. You're a little too competitive at all the wrong times.

And some of the right ones! Most of the time, you're just taking things a little too far. There are some cases where no one has to win, necessarily.

At the end of the day, we are who we are.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
