It's starting to get really cold outside in Minnesota and the snow is finally flying everywhere. During your winter breaks it's hard to figure what you are going to do with your friends beside sleep and binge watch Netflix. Maybe these ideas will bring a little fun to your winter break.

1. Shopping at MOA

If you love to shop and love rollercoasters; Mall Of America is the place for you. There is nothing better than spending your Christmas money at MOA. You have every store you can think of and they even have rollercoasters at Nickelodeon Universe. It's a win-win situation.

2. Going to the Holidazzle.

The Holidazzle is located at Loring Park in downtown Minneapolis. It has so many fun activities; ice skating, the markets, music, movies, and fireworks. It is only open until the 23rd of December, but it is a fun family and friend event. I remember going to the Holidazzle parade every year with my family and visiting the Macy level and seeing Santa.

3. Visit Minnehaha Falls

I know it's really cold out, but if you bundle up I wouldn't miss seeing Minnehaha Falls frozen. It becomes a beautiful ice cave.

4. Skiing at one of the many ski areas.

One winter activity that everyone loves here besides hockey and ice skating is to go skiing and snowboarding. Or if you aren't a fan of skiing or snowboarding there is always tubing!

5. Ice Skate at the Depot.

I am a fan of this idea. I love ice skating!

6. Seeing a show at the Guthrie theater and at the Orpheum theater.

There are plenty of shows and operas going on and it's always fun to dress up with your friends and see something interesting and grabbing a bite to eat before or after the show.

7. Going to a Wild's, Timberwolves game, and/or a Viking's game.

Go cheer on your favorite home team! Either see the Wild hockey team at the Xcel Energy center, The Timberwolves at the Target Center, and/or a Viking's game at the cool new US Bank Stadium!

8. The Institute of Art and Walker Museum.

If you are into art or not this is a great place to visit. The art pieces are very unique.

9. Go Sledding

There are hills everywhere to go sledding this winter. It's a fun activity no matter how old you are.

10. Visit Bentleyville, Duluth, MN and walk around to see the "Tour of Lights."

This is a tour around Bentleyville to see all the amazing lights. It goes until the 26th and it's right on the shore of Lake Superior!

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
