Ah, yes, a chance to start fresh again. Here is what you need to do before ringing in 2018:
1. Decide who and what you no longer want in your life
What's causing negativity in your life? Quit bad habits. Unsubscribe from emails you don't care about. Unfriend toxic people.
2. Remind yourself of who you love, and let them know
This is a perfect time to thank the people who made your 2017 great.
3. Set goals for yourself and stay away from unreasonable resolutions
Drink more water. Read more books. Donate to a charity. Study harder.
4. Clean, clean, clean
Throw away old food. Donate clothes you don't wear anymore. Organize your dresser.
5. Get anything and everything off your chest
Talk out any grudges you still have. Ask your crush on a date.
6. Clean out your social media
Unfollow people who bring you negativity. Update your profile picture. Delete pictures you don't care for anymore.
7. Look through your photos from the year
This is a nice way to remember all the good memories and adventures you got yourself into this year. Remember how lucky you really are.
8. Do something nice for yourself, your family or friends, and the world
Start the new year on a high by paying for the car behind you in the drive-thru or picking up litter in the parking lot, cooking your family a meal or bringing your friend a coffee, and treating yourself to a spa day or new shoes.
9. Reflect on the year
What was good? What made you happy? What are you proud of you? Do more of this.
What was bad? What made you upset? What makes you ashamed? Do less of this.
