Almost every year, I go to Ocean City, NJ with my family for a few days. We've been going for quite a while now, and there are some things we've always done when we're there, as well as some things we've tried out recently. Since many other families go to Ocean City, I figured I'd throw out some suggestions of things to do!

1. Rent a bike and ride on the boardwalk.

You do have to get up a little bit early for this one because bikes aren't allowed on the boardwalk after a certain time. However, it's amazing to be able to take in the views and feel the ocean breeze as you leisurely ride your bike. If you're up for a challenge, you can bike over the Longport Bridge. I've done it before, and the burn is real, especially on a one-speed bike.

2. Get breakfast at the Varsity Inn.

We go here every year, and they have a wide variety of breakfast food on their menu. You can get anything from the basic eggs and bacon, to french toast topped with lots of fruit and whipped cream.

3. Go mini golfing.

To be honest, this is a must on every beach vacation. It's always fun to get a little competitive with your family and see if you can make the hole in one, at the end, to win a free game. We normally check out a different place every year, because there are just so many options to choose from.

4. Get frozen custard from Kohr Bros.

You can get this in various other beach towns, but I can never pass it up! My personal favorite is the orange sherbet and vanilla custard swirl in a cone.

5. Get ice cream from George's on the boardwalk.

They have so many unique flavors, and they're all homemade! The flavors have creative names too, such as Seagull Droppings and Motor Oil.

6. Pick out some beach reads at The Bookateria Two.

This used book store is in downtown Ocean City, and they have great prices and selection for secondhand books to read on the beach.

7. Get caramel corn from Johnson's Popcorn.

They sell huge containers of it on the boardwalk, and it's the perfect combination of sweet and salty.

8. Eat dinner at the Chatterbox.

You can't miss the restaurant, because it's a big pink building on the corner. It's always been a fun place to go with great service and many options for dinner and even dessert.

9. Get donuts from Cathy's 14th Street Bakery.

Along with other mouth-watering pastries, they have apple cider donuts that are to die for!

10. Eat breakfast at Uncle Bill's Pancake House.

I'm not even big on pancakes, but they have something for everyone. You can choose to get your typical pancakes, or specialty pancakes such as pumpkin, pecan, apple, strawberry, blueberry, and even s'mores.

If you're going to Ocean City soon, I hope you try out some of my suggestions and enjoy yourself as much as I always do!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
