Do you ever think about things that you use in your everyday life, and what it would be like to not have them? Or forget them? Miserable.
There are a few things that help me go about my day and make it a little easier.
1. As bad as it sounds, a day without my phone is a nightmare come true. How would I get from place to place without MapQuest? How would I listen to music in my car? You won't convince me to listen to the radio either. How would I check important emails? What if I get an important phone call or text? If I went without my phone for a day, it could get pretty crazy.
2. Okay, I don't think I could go without my laptop. That is my baby. I always clean it, clothe it (by clothing I mean a case), and take it everywhere. A way to- again- check emails, check Facebook for important information on internships, social groups, and school organizations, and of course Netflix before bed.3. I would not be able to function without breakfast. I know so many people skip out on breakfast because they're in a rush in the morning or they are just not hungry. Hungry or not hungry, I always eat breakfast. It is such a necessary meal to energize you, and set you on your way for the entire day. It completely changes how my day is going to go.
According to Calorie King, breakfast is so important because "It affects your eating for the rest of the day. Starting the day with a well-balanced meal that supplies adequate protein, carbohydrate and fiber keeps hunger at bay and allows you to make wise choices for the meals which follow."
4. I don't usually wear a lot of makeup, but I must say that I would go crazy without an eyebrow pencil. I have thinner eyebrows, so the pencil gives the illusion that I have full and magnificent eyebrows. I like to keep it that way.
5. I know this is weird, but something I always keep on me is chap-stick. I absolutely cannot stand when my lips are chapped. It is the strangest feeling and it actually bothers me. I apply chap-stick all the time throughout the day. Not only does it bother me when my lips are chapped, but when other people's are! Go invest in some chap-stick for yourself! That is a part of personal hygiene.
6. Deodorant. I know this is so simple and everybody wears it. But when I don't have it I go insane. It is constantly on my mind, and I cannot function normally. Even when I have some on, but it isn't my usual, I go crazy. I use either men's Axe or Old Spice. Call me nuts but it lasts way longer and doesn't leave white stains on black shirts. It's a life changer.
7. My dog. Being at school is such a struggle because I am away from my dog so much. I am probably obsessed with her. A fluffy Shiba Inu. If you don't know what kind of dog that is, look it up. She looks like a little fox, that acts like a cat, and happens to be a dog.
Of course family and friends come before all of these things. But these just help my day out in different ways and happen to make a huge difference. I am so grateful to have these be the things that I have a hard time functioning without.
