10 Super Bowl Commercials That Will Go Down In History

The Super Bowl is one of the most talked about events in sports in the United States. It's one game where two teams battle for the title of greatness, fans fight for bragging rights and fans without teams playing fight for the last chicken wing at the party.

While the hype is there for both the Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos, there is another thing people who tune in look forward to... the commercials.

For years, companies have spent millions to get that precious time slot on the first Sunday of February. Some disappoint, while others go down in the history books. Here are 9 of the best Super Bowl commercials of all time, and one recently released from the 2016 line-up.

1. Super Bowl 1980

Nine-year-old Tommy Okon shares his Coco-Cola with Pittsburgh Steelers star “Mean Joe” Greene.

2. Super Bowl 1996

Coca-Cola delivery man is caught red-handed cheating with Pepsi.

3. Super Bowl 2002

Budweiser's infamous tribute to 9/11, the commercial was later remade in 2011 to honor the 10th anniversary.

4. Super Bowl 2007

E-Trade's talking baby stole the hearts and laughs of everyone that year. This goes down as one of my favorites.

5. Super Bowl 2008

Hank the Clydesdale misses the cut for the Budweiser team. After training with his Dalmatian coach to the "Rocky" theme, he makes the team a year later.

6. Super Bowl 2010

Snickers aired this wildly popular ad featuring Betty White. The actress gets tackled while playing football.

7. Super Bowl 2011

One of the most shared Super Bowl commercials. A youthful Darth Vader uses his "force" to start the new Volkswagen Passat with keyless ignition.

8. Super Bowl 2015

Carl's Jr. is known for their racy commercials, featuring scantily clad women holding their products. This ad was deemed the most risqué of them all.

9. Super Bowl 2015

Budweiser, once again, captures the hearts of millions with this adorable "Puppy Love" commercial.

10. Super Bowl 2016

Seth Rogen and Amy Schumer take the stage in Bud Light's 2016 commercial which is more of a political parody, "The Bud Light Party."
