It is now September, which means it is now Suicide Prevention Month. This also means that it is a great time to remind everyone to be kind to others.
You never know what battles someone else is fighting or how they've gotten their scars. Speaking from personal experience, receiving a small positive, genuine comment from someone, regardless if you know them or not, can surely make your day worth living out. Sometimes I wonder how many lives have been saved from a small act of kindness or how many times my day has been made better by someone complimenting on me, whether it be about my outfit or how well I did leading others.
You don't have to write a sonnet to show someone you care. Like shown below, sometimes all it takes is for someone to notice you.
"You look happy today!"
Sometimes all you need is to hear it for it to be true in your heart.
"You really rocked that presentation today."
Really, we couldn't tell you were nervous at all! Totally nailed it.
"You are a great leader."
Knowing you can lead others successfully is one of the most rewarding things to hear.
"You are even more beautiful on the inside than you are on the outside."
If you look above, you will see what everyone says when they see how amazing you are.
"You inspire me to be myself."
Reminding them that they can be inspiration for others can add meaning to their life they had never thought of before.
"I bet babies love you."
Everyone knows that if a baby loves you, you really have something special.
"You're truly a gift in my life."
Remind them they are a gift, which is why you need them in the present.
"You are a great listener."
This is a strength not many people have, but make sure you reassure them that you can also be a great listener for them.
"You have a daring spirit."
You sure have more guts than some of us.
"I have a lot to learn from you."
Knowing that you have advice and something positive to pass on to others really makes you realize how much purpose you really have.
