If any of you have younger sisters, you'll understand the joy, struggles, and insanity that comes with that. There are many things to love and hate about having a younger sister, things that most girls who have one will immediately relate to. Without further ado, here are 10 things you know if you have a little sister close in age to you.

1. When you were little, you were always made to wear matching outfits.

From the very beginning, you guys were being mistaken for twins because you were constantly dressed alike. You were both too young to have developed your own distinct appearance yet, so it was too easy for people to mistake your baby chub as looking alike. Toss in the similar outfits and you have a recipe for mistaken identity.

2. When she was first born, you loved her--until you hated her.

Suddenly, you weren't the only/youngest child anymore. You had another person to play with, to have by your side. It was like a miracle. You held your sister in the hospital as a little girl and was ecstatic that you finally had a little sister. That is, until you realized she was coming home with you. No longer did you get everything you want, because now there was a new "cutest kid" in town. You had to endure relatives giving all their attention to her and not to you anymore. It was great having a sister, but the moment you realized it meant sacrificing all the attention you were used to getting, you didn't like it so much anymore.

3. You both bonded over having to take those awkward family photos.

You know the type--those photos where there's a person with a camera that has a teddy bear trying to get you and your crying sister to look into the camera with a smile just once. An estranged mother is yelling at you two to smile through gritted teeth, and an exhausted father has given up completely. But once you guys finally do get that perfect photo, it'll be hanging on a wall in your home for everyone to see for the rest of your lives. The embarrassment will follow you everywhere.

4. You guys were constantly getting into trouble together.

Whether it was coordinating on the perfect plot to steal cookies from the kitchen before dinner or how to torment your little brother, the two of you never stopped scheming together. Even today, if one of you gets yourself into some huge trouble, you can bet your sister was behind you the whole time it went down. Even if she wasn't, she'd commend you for your work. As kids, that time-out spot was where the two of you spent many of your days.

5. You'll find yourself copying her--or vice versa.

You'll say or do something exactly like your sister and you'll think, "Oh God, that was exactly how she would say/do that thing." Likewise, your little sister will take many cues from you when it comes to certain things. Whether you guys want to or not, there will come times when you'll copy one another, and that's okay. You know, as long as she knows that YOU were first, since you're the oldest.

6. You endured the awkward years together.

Those were the days...that you'd rather forget. But thanks to Facebook and family photo albums, you'll never be able to truly escape those awkward preteen/teenage years. Luckily, your sister was right there with you as you guys went through your rough phases. All those gauchos and crocs are buried deep in your closet or donated now, but the memories of them will haunt you forever--and your sister won't hesitate to remind you of how bad you guys really looked.

7. You can really get on each other's nerves sometimes.

Your sister may be one of the best people in your life, but she's also one of the worst. It's hard being so close in age because one second the two of you could be laughing and having a good time together and the next you're wrestling each other to the ground over something really stupid. She ate your food? Wrestle match. She took your clothes without asking? Wrestle match. She posted that picture of you guys on Instagram that you look terrible in? Wrestle match AND an unfollow. Your brawls always turn out all right in the end though, because they can be solved with something as simple as a Chipotle trip.

8. The two of you take the best selfies together.

You've been stealing beauty tricks and Instagram filters from each other for as long as you can remember. When you combine each other's talents, your pictures slay like no other. Whenever the two of you are in a picture together, it gets tons of likes. For some reason the sister power is what is bringing in the likes these days--as well as your guys' superb selfie-taking skills. You guys just ultimately look cuter when you're together.

9. You'll be there for each other through everything.

Whether it's a big life event like graduation, or a tragedy like losing a loved one, the two of you will be there for each other no matter what. When it comes to the more serious things in life, you guys couldn't be more close. Sometimes only someone who knows you as well as your sister can help you in times of need, or celebrate with you to the fullest. In short, she has your back, no matter the situation.

10. You'll always be best friends.

Not a day goes by where you aren't grateful for having someone so close in age grow up with you. While there were definitely struggles that came along with that, the two of you have been through some unbelievable things together, and that will never change. Having a little sister has given you a best friend for life, and for that you couldn't be more thankful.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
