10 Reasons To Be Happy Today
AG

There are SO many reasons to be happy, and yet there are SO many reasons to be sad, mad, or even depressed. Here's only 10 reasons to be happy today, that apply to everyone who reads this.

1. You can read!

You're reading this right now (I'm assuming), and that's super awesome! In a lot of areas in the world, it's RARE to be able to read! Someone taught you how to read, whether that be a teacher because you're lucky enough to have an education, or a family member cared enough to teach you. This gives you the ability to get a substantial number of jobs that you couldn't if you were illiterate. So, congrats!!

2. Somebody loves you.

Even the most lonely person in the world is loved by somebody: God. He loves you through all of your "imperfections," "problems," and through every mood you're in. You most likely have at least one family member or a friend who loves you and who is thankful for you.

3. You're blessed.

Considering you're reading this, you probably have some sort of access to internet, which is a huge blessing. Even if you're at the public library, you have access to so many things via the internet. You can educate yourself, watch videos, connect with people at long distances, and so much more, just because you have that access. Some people don't even have access to food and clean water, while you have access to thing likes the internet, most likely a phone, and probably even a computer of your own.

4. You woke up this morning.

Life is such a beautiful thing, and we're lucky and even blessed to be living right this very moment. If you ever wake up in a mad mood, realize that someone else didn't wake up this morning, so you should be grateful and live each day to it's fullest.

5. At least one good thing has happened to you.

This sort of goes back to the "You're blessed," point. At one point in your life, at least ONE thing that was positive has happened to you. Maybe you can walk, maybe you won something, maybe you're in love with someone, literally anything! Whenever you're in a negative head space, think about that time a random stranger called you pretty, or that really nice waitress you got last week who absolutely made your day.

6. You've gotten through at least one negative thing.

Everyone has gotten over something negative, and that's a huge achievement! Think about your strengths, and not your weaknesses.

7. You're beautiful!

Whether you think so or not, you are! Don't ever let society tell you what's beautiful and what's not. God made everyone perfect and the way he intended you to look.

8. If you haven't already, you're going to fall in love with someone.

"Life's a game meant for everyone, and love is the prize." Aloe Blacc was absolutely correct in his song "Wake Me Up", and even God will agree!

9. You have an impact on the world.

Whether you realize it or not at this moment, your existence has an impact on the world, and it's up to you to decide how big that impact is.

10. Be happy because you can.

There are people out there who don't want to see you, or anyone, else happier than they are, and there are people who love you, who pray for your happiness. So, be happy because you can, and because some people don't want you to. And the end of the day, there are millions of reasons for people to be happy, so why not just try it?

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
