Dear college best friend,
Please know that even though we have only been best friends for three months, you are my go-to person. Whenever I have a hard time, you know how to make the rest of the day better. Moving 480 miles from home was a hard adjustment and you knew how to help me adapt. The days I wanted to give up and move back to Illinois, you helped to show me that Kentucky could be my new home. With all the help you have given me; here are 10 promises I make to you.
- I promise to always answer your facetime calls. Whether you want to talk about your boyfriend, your family, friends that are driving you crazy, or you just want to talk I will always answer.
- I promise to never judge your taste in music. If you want to listen to High School Musical, Hannah Montana, Fetty Wap, or anyone else, I will always be there to sing along with you.
- I promise to always make positive comments on your Instagram posts. (Even when you look stupid)
- I promise to not judge you when you don’t shower after our volleyball practice. (I will always have air fresheners on hand)
- I promise to never judge you on your “one date only” cute boy. Can I date him now?
- I promise to always binge watch Grey’s Anatomy with you. I will provide the kleenex, chocolates, and chocolate milk.
- I promise to always share my last nacho lunchable with you. When we run out, I will call and beg my parents to put more money for groceries on my bank card.
- I promise to never snatch any of your makeup. Even though you have endless amounts of makeup, you still would know if something was missing.
- I promise to keep our “what’s yours is mine” policy. Even though you can fit into my shoes, but I can’t fit into yours.
- I promise to always be there for you. I will always be your shoulder to cry on when you are having a rough day.
