Photography is a passion of mine. In today’s terms, I am not just talking about posting an Instagram selfie with a Pro X II filter. Photography is an art form that is not just for capturing moments, but more for creating moments and telling a story for viewers. Here is a list of 10 current photographers who have great works worth sharing!

1. Christopher Wilson

“After more than 15 years in the advertising world as a writer, art director and designer, Christopher Wilson jumped off a cliff in 2003 to start christopherWILSONphotography under Studio Elm, Inc. As an advertising creative, Christopher created a vast portfolio of powerful branding communications for some of the most recognized luxury brands on the planet, including Audi, Infiniti, Jaguar, Nikon, Johnnie Walker and Ritz-Carlton.”

For more information on him and his work, check out his website here.

I like his sense of composition in his works. His editing style is also another reason I enjoy his eye-catching images. Although I am only showing one of his photos, his whole portfolio is worth viewing.

2. Stan Musilek

From Prague to studying math in college to discovering a passion for photography, Stan Musilek is a well-established artist. He has won numerous awards, including One Eyeland Best of the Best Photographers 2014 and Communication Arts 55th Photography Annual 2014. For more information and of his works check out his website here.

The variety in Musilek's portfolio is the reason I enjoy his photos. From fashion to classy nudes and product and commercial works, his images are striking.

3. Teri Campbell

Campbell is the “Creative Lead at Teri Studios, and [a]uthor of 'Food Photography & Lighting: a Commercial Photographer's Guide to Creating Irresistible Images.'"

“After attending the Ohio Institute of Photography, Teri began his career as a photographer. In 1988 he opened Teri Studios, a commercial photography studio specializing in food.”

For more information and more of his works check out his website.

Why did I select Campbell's image? Food. His images of food are so downright good looking, viewers can get hungry just by gazing. His images have a professional and yet tasty look at the same time.

4. Howard Schatz

“The photographs of Howard Schatz are exhibited in museums and photography galleries internationally and are included in private collections. He has received international accolades for his work which has been published.”

I love his underwater collections! The flow of material and the positions of the model are just great. His work is very clean and seductive.

5. Morgan Silk

Quoted from her blog, Silk says, “I knew that if I didn’t follow my heart I would regret it forever so after years of hard graft building up a nice solid business, I gave it all up to chase the dream and I haven’t looked back. Since then I’ve been blessed with the opportunities to travel to some amazing places and meet some fantastic people. So long may it continue. I hope, and until it stops I’m going to enjoy the ride.”

If you want more of her works check out her website.

Silk's portraits are very well composed. I love the use of clothing. The relationship between model and clothing are magnetic and striking.

6. Ann Cutting

“Ann Elliott Cutting's versatility spans subjects from science and organic images to children, sports, and lifestyle. She uses techniques, including traditional cameras, digital imaging, and images made with toy cameras.”

Cutting's portfolio is vast and versatile. From medical themes to her conceptual images, her works feature a lot of little pieces that make for stunning imagery as a whole.

7. Jim Golden

Quoted from his website, Golden is “an award-winning photographer specializing in still life and products [who] brings an artist's eye and an enthusiast's passion to his work. He strives to capture the pared-down essence of his subjects, rather than impose a false sense of beauty upon them. The viewer is invited to enjoy an often-inanimate object for its stark simplicity or quiet quality.”

For more on his bio and vast portfolios check out his website.

I love his collections. The crisp and clean placement of his props are very pleasing to the eye. Please check out his website!

8. Carlos Rios

Rios is a Los Angeles photographer. “Today, Rios divides his time between both major cities and calls Venice, CA his home and credits a lot of what he learned in the medium to his friend and mentor, Paul Jasmin.”

Rios' fashion photography is very edgy and in accord with the times. His use of makeup, clothing and background make for very harmonious images.

9. Lissy Elle

Her bio states that “Lissy’s interest in photography started when she was just 13 years old, and a friend of hers decided to tell her about this – then impossible sounding – project called '365,' where she was expected to take a photo to represent every day of that year. So she took her first whirl at it, and although she failed spectacularly after about five months, from that failure bloomed a love that would take up most of her time for years to come.”

For more on her bio and her extensive portfolios, check out her website.

Her images are very stunning. Her conceptual thinking and ideas are just fantastic.

10. Ljubodrag Andric

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
