We all live different lifestyle; yet, we all have one thing in common. We are all human. Humans get rundown. When we start to have one too many days when we misplace our wallet, accidentally go to work in our slippers, or forget to eat. We should always remember to try out these tips to get our brains back on track.
1. Create lists
It's easy for all of our responsibilities to get jumbled up in our minds. Creating lists helps minimize this while maximizing time and organization strategies. Creating multiple lists or headings, such as "to do," "to buy," "to pack," especially before leaving for trips can help clear our minds, leading to less forgetfulness and stress.
2. Burn oils and light candles
Certain scents contribute to stress relief. Dimming the lights and burning oils has been found to be extremely beneficial. Combine this tip and the first, creating lists, for about fifteen minutes and we'll all become fresh, new, organized individuals!
3. Read a book
We all need to let our minds wander sometimes, so what's better than getting wrapped up in a good read? RM Drake's poems books are an essential in my life. I find myself flipping through the pages of his books without any rules or particular destinations, just seeing where my mind can take me.
4. Turn off all electronics for twenty minutes
We all need personal space once in a while. Every other day we should turn off our electronics for at least twenty minutes and just be by ourselves. Electronics consist of computers, phones, emails, television, iPads, and more! Anything we can think of that distracts from relieving stress should be ignored for twenty minutes. This is also easier on our eyes, leading us to be able to focus on important things better.
5. Get a massage
If this is in our budgets, we should take advantage. This is such a stress reliever and can take as little as twenty minutes out of our daily agendas! Whether it's a quick lunch break session or after work, we should definitely make time for this little luxury.
6. Take a bath
If we can't find time within our busy schedules, night time relaxation methods consist of baths. Perfect for cold nights or even if we want to read a good book. We can even use bath bombs to make baths feel not so at home!
7. Tell a friend what is consuming your mind and taking away from a clear thought process.
One of the best ways to process information for human minds is to retell it. Therefore, telling a friend what is on our minds can help us see the bigger picture. Whether we are verbal or visual individuals, telling a friend or showing them our list can help us sort our minds out.
8. Meditate
We've all heard this before, but have we all tried it? I bet not. Studies have shown how beneficial this can be. Try to squeeze in at least a couple minutes of meditation every morning or before bed.
9. Drink tea before bed
Speaking of bedtime, what's more relaxing than a hot cup of tea? We should pitch our phones and drink while reading or thinking about our schedules for the next day. This can cause sleepy, clam vibes and can be very beneficial.
10. Sleep
Cliche, I know. But we all need sleep. Some more than others, but the bottom line is that we can't beat it. We can all maximize our sleep by making goals for what we want to complete before sleeping and setting an approximate time that we'd like to hit the pillow.
