10 Life Lessons Learned From A 3 Year Old
Personal

Over the course of our lives we pick up lessons along the way. By the time we are at the end of the road, if we are lucky enough we have collected many lessons. If you have ever been around a toddler you might know that for someone so tiny they have a big bucket of life lessons.

1. Sharing is caring

Share thoughts and ideas, hugs and kisses, and your time and love.

2. Persistence pays off

We all learn in life that if you work hard enough you'll end up getting what you want. Apparently, begging and screaming can also achieve that goal for you.

3. Nourishment and being well rested are key factors in living a functional life

Hanger is real and add it with being sleepy and the devil would become undefeated

4. It's good to dance even when people are watching

As we grow up we tend to start caring more and more what people think but life is truly magical when we can let our hair down and show off our newest ballerina twirls in the middle of the busy city for all to see.

5. Mostly everything can be healed with a hug

...and sometimes a lollipop

6. Sometimes time outs are needed

We all get in to moods and and do things we don't mean to and sometimes we just need to accept that and self punish

7. It's OK to color outside the lines

In fact it's encouraged

8. Crying in front of people is alright

If you feel it, show it

8. Boys have cooties

This is one to remember

9. You're imagination can get you far

Dream big and who knows where you can get

10. When life brings rain, put on your boots and jump in the puddles

Bad days are always around the corner, they're inevitable but it's important to make the most of it.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
