Every individual experiences a time where they feel as though they are lost, struggling or lacking control in their life. This is normal; everyone has bad days, but it is important to remember that God has your back. There is a plan already created for you, and as long as you trust in Him and follow His ways, everything will turn out better than you could hope for. Here are some Bible verses that you can refer to in order to help you through the stressful times in college and life in general.
1. Philippians 4: 6-7
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
2. Isaiah 40: 29-31
“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
3. Psalm 46: 1
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”
4. Isaiah 33: 2
“Lord, be gracious to us; we long for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress.”
5. Proverbs 3: 5-6
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
6. Psalm 120: 1
“I call on the Lord in my distress, and he answers me.”
7. Psalm 55: 22
“Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.”
8. Jeremiah 17: 7-8
“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and it never fails to bear fruit.”
9. Proverbs 26: 3
“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans."
10. 1 Peter 5: 7
"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."
