I have finally stopped crying tears of joy for you. I was taking a nap one afternoon when I got your text that said, "He proposed today! We are officially engaged!" I heard my phone ring and I looked at it, read it without realizing the message, then quickly then put it down. After three seconds, I reached out for my phone and read it again. I have never been so happy for you.

I remember back to freshman year dreaming about how amazing that day would be when we find the ones we will spend the rest of our lives with. We both said no matter what, we would both be in each other's weddings. I know that this guy is truly the perfect one for you. You were meant to find each other when you did. Even though you had to transfer to another school across the country, I am glad you two found each other. You two deserve each other and a lifetime of happiness.

I can't wait to see how the wedding planning all comes together. The countdown has already begun! The special day will be here before we know it. Since I cried with you on the phone after the text message, you better believe tears will be flowing that day. It will be an amazing day for everyone and I am so honored to be apart of it. I can't wait to help out with anything you need to make this day great. I am so happy to be in my first wedding and have it be yours. I am blessed to have you in my life and I am so happy that we have stayed close even though we see each other once or twice a year now. I am so glad I had you as my neighbor, best friend through freshman year and keeping it up through texts and FaceTime while we were apart. You are truly an amazing friend to have.

I knew when I started seeing this new guy in your snap stories, I thought he was something. You assured me he was "just a guy that was in your math class." Look at you both now. There is no one I know that deserves a fairy tale happy ending, and a new beginning, more than you. I haven't met him yet but seeing pictures and hearing about him all this time makes me sure that he is truly the one for you. I am sure I will love him more when I meet him!

So, let the countdown continue to your special day! Thank you for being in my life and I can't wait to see you soon. Love you!
