32 Signs That You're the Youngest Sibling
Farrand Schneider

Growing up with siblings is difficult to say the least. There was always someone ready to argue with you at any given point, ready to beat you up if you snitched, and always someone to eat the snacks that mom and dad bought specifically for you. Growing up as the youngest seemed to amplify all of these things, especially when both of your older siblings are brothers. However, they weren't just out to get me. When it came down to it, they were also there to protect me. Here are a few more things that us youngest siblings had to deal with when growing up:

1. All of your boyfriends/girlfriends or potentials significant others went through a strict and rigorous interview process from your siblings and all of their friends.

2. You spent a majority of your childhood locked in your parents' room as your siblings were attempting to beat you up.

3. You often found yourself hiding in the clothes basket for hours on end after they gave up playing hide and seek and failed to tell you.

4. When they teamed up, held you down, and Chinese tortured your forehead until one of them got bored or mom and dad made them stop.

5. When they blackmailed you in every way possible to not tell mom and dad they were drinking last night.

6. When they made you ride the bus, because they had to ride the bus.

7. When you watched a scary movie and they told you, at the very end, it was based on a true story...that happened in your house.

8. When they sent you to your room when they had friends over so you didn't embarrass them.

9. When road trips consisted of constant punches from slug bugs that you were too short to see.

10. When your head was and probably is still used as an arm rest.

11. When your parents told you at least once a week, "Learn from your siblings' mistakes and you won't ever get grounded."

12. When they constantly had to tell their friends, "dude, that's my sister/brother."

13. When you got in trouble for something you weren't even awake for because your siblings blamed it all on you.

14. When you got excluded from almost all of the fun activities because you were too young or too small.

15. When you were the test dummy for all of the dangerous activities because, well, you're the youngest.

16. When they told you you're adopted or that mom and dad love you the least.

17. When all of your toys became victim to their vicious science experiments.

18. When Marco Polo turned into just Marco..

19. When you could watch what you wanted on tv only when they weren't home.

20. When you had to hide snacks throughout the house to prevent savagery.

21. When they protected you against the bullies at school.

22. When they let you sleep in their room after you had a nightmare.

23. When they helped you build a fort in the living room.

24. When they beat up your first boyfriend/girlfriend for breaking your heart.

25. When they let you stay up past your bedtime when your parents weren't home.

26. When they finally let you catch them during Marco Polo.

27. When they let you drive their car before you had your permit.

28. When they were your biggest cheerleaders at sporting events.

29. When they finally let you be involved at their parties.

30. When you're upset and the first thing they say is, "who do I have to kill?"

31. When they helped you with your homework because they wanted you to do better in school than they did.

And last but not least,
You know you're the youngest sibling when you grow up to be the strongest person you can be because your siblings made you that way, and it was always "because they loved you.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
