There is this idea that has come to be a silent rule amongst society. For some reason it has come to be accepted that women are not enough. That they aren’t strong enough, pretty enough, smart enough or worthy enough. But the question is, what are they not enough of? Are they not enough of a person to deserve the love of someone else? Are they not enough of a light and spirit to have true inner happiness? Why has ‘enough’ come to be a term to define a woman?
The phrase that every woman loves using is “he/she is my other half.” No no, honey. You are a whole all on your own. You were born a whole and complete person, and you will die a whole and complete person. Anything or anyone you pick up along the way of your life is just a bonus. No man will complete you; a man will only complement you. You are enough on your own and a soul mate simply adds on to that. You don’t need anyone or anything to make you whole.
So my little light, why have you let the world dim your sparkle? Why have you come to let yourself believe you aren’t good enough for something in this world? God did not create you as any lesser than anyone else. He made you a beautiful soul, body and mind and set you here to do big things. You have always been, and will always be, one of a kind.
This world isn’t always able to see your beauty. It has a way of trying to define it for you and tell you that what you have isn’t it. But my love, don’t listen. Don’t focus on being pretty. Be pretty kind, smart, funny and pretty strong. When you hit the bottom, be hopeful. When you are on cloud 9, be humble. But most of all, never dim your light for anyone for any reason.
You are enough my dear.
