You Don't Need To Know What The Future Holds, You Just Need To Wonder

Here's the best advice I can conjure to relive any unanswered pondering.

Beginning your journey in college, starts with a simple yet complex question, "What do you want to do in life?" This question can weigh heavily on a student as he/she discovers what their passion is and how they can put that into use. This process is full of dread and excitement. The world is wide and there are a million options, but what suits you?

The best advice I had ever received when debating this question, myself was, "Do what you love." I made a list. Reading and law were at the top, thus my decision to follow my new path as an English major along a Pre-Law Track went into effect. For others, you may still be searching for your "calling" and there's nothing wrong with that. Do not worry about what others will think or what they will do with their life. Do what fits you.

Day to day life as a college student can have a looming anxiety present throughout the day as you walk to your next class. You'll be full of questions and worries.

What's the point of this class if it has nothing to do with my major?

Would it be the worst thing in the world if I skipped this one class?

Am I following a path that I love if I hate this one class?

Will I be happy with this choice down the line?

What will I eat for dinner?

Is dinner even in my budget?

Are three hours of sleep enough to get me through the day if I chug this venti coffee?

And the list goes on...

We, as college students, wonder about life constantly from the macro to the micro levels of stress. However, college is supposed to make us wonder. We got to college because we wonder. We wonder what our purpose is and what we love most in life. We are here at university to discover what our passion in life could be. Everyday questions will be answered, and new questions will arise to fill in the answered. I will say this though — here's an answer to those haunting questions: everything will be okay. One day you may feel as if you just climbed Mount Everest, full of accomplishment, pride, and joy. Another, you may feel like rolling out of bed is an impossible feat. That's okay. Everything will be okay.

Your next step or even your next day in life may be unknown. You are praying for your 8 a.m. class to be canceled, even if the odds are slim to none. You could have everything organized in a planner like me and yet a wrench could still be thrown in your plans. The next step you take holds so much potential and unknown that makes us constantly wonder something new. But with the unknown, incredible things can happen and you could possibly experience the best memories you could've imagined for yourself in college.

6 Things Owning A Cat Has Taught Me
Liz Abere

Owning a pet can get difficult and expensive. Sometimes, their vet bills cost hundreds of dollars just for one visit. On top of that, pets also need food, a wee wee pad for a dog, a litter box with litter for a cat, toys, and treats. Besides having to spend hundreds of dollars on them, they provide a great companion and are almost always there when you need to talk to someone. For the past six years, I have been the proud owner of my purebred Bengal cat named Spock. Although he's only seven years and four months old, he's taught me so much. Here's a few of the things that he has taught me.

It's fun to see all of the selfies on social media, they are everywhere. I see pictures with pouty lips, duck lips and pucker lips. I see smokey eyes, huge fake lashes and nicely done nose jobs, boob jobs and butt lifts. Women working out in spandex, tiny tops and flip flops. I see tight abs and firm butts, manicured nails and toes, up dos and flowing hair. "Wow", I think to myself," I could apply tons of make-up, spend an hour on my hair, pose all day and not look like that. Maybe I need a longer stick!"

Ancient Roman Kings: 7 Leaders of Early Rome

The names and dates of the reigns of the first four kings, as well as the alternation of Sabin and Latin names, are more legendary than historical. The last three kings, of Etruscan origin, have an existence which seems less uncertain.

It is evident that all this is only a legend although archeology shows us little by little that these kings if they did not exist as the ancient history, describes them, have at least in the very Outlines were real as chief of a shepherd’s tribe. The period when kings ruled Rome could estimate at 245 years.
