You always have been and you always will be.

You Are Enough
Autumn J. Cohen

To the girl who wakes up every morning and looks in the mirror, long and hard, in search of who she is,

You stare. "Who are you?" you ask silently. You wait. No answer. It hasn't formed yet, but you know somewhere it does exist.

You exist.

To you who wants to fit in,

You follow the latest trends. You make yourself up perfect each day. Your outfit you're sure they'll like. You play it cool, but inside you're nervous. "I just want them to notice me." Be encouraged. True friends will see you for who you are. Your relationships will be genuine They won't care about your clothes or other; they will see your heart. They will love you for you.

You Are Accepted.

To you who compares herself,

" If only I had..." You find yourself fixating on bodies and faces. Beautiful in their own right, you question yours. Your confidence waivers, and from time to time you find yourself insecure. Don't belittle your beauty based on what others define as beautiful. Be your own kind of beautiful, and remember someone is admiring the very thing you criticize.

You Are Beautiful.

To you who desires love,

You find yourself in relationship after relationship. Each one possesses less substance than the last. You desire to feel wanted, His warm hands numb the lonely. His words fill the voids. You're content for the moment, but soon after he leaves, you feel empty again. Hold fast to your faith in love. Never settle for temporary fixes. When you find the right one, his love will fill your heart and soul. True love is worth the wait.

You Are Worthy.

To you who is heart broken,

You cry yourself to sleep each night. You huddle yourself in a ball and mask your tears in the pillow. You hurt. The pain radiates from your finger tips to your toes. "Will this ever end?" The pain will go away. Your heart will mend and you will heal. You will find peace and realize that the sun shines brighter after the storm.

You Are Strong.

To you who doubts herself,

Passion, determination, and success encompass your very essence, but you pressure yourself. You're fighting to push through, but you worry. "I don't think it's good enough," and "I could've done better" circulate non-stop your brain like the planets around the sun. You doubt your intelligence, although your performance says otherwise. You are a hard worker. Don't stop until you reach your plateau. You will make it. You're efforts are not in vain. Believe in yourself.

You Are Capable.

To you who can't find her way,

Searching leaves you with more questions, more confusion. Shouldn't this be crystal clear or easy. You though so. Everyone else seems to be living in theirs or at least they know what it is. You pray asking the Lord to direct your path, but you struggle with truly having faith that He is. God has equipped you with all you need to shine. You were made for this. Your time is coming.

You Have Purpose.

To you who's life was all but fair,

Why is your constant question. You don't understand the series of. "Don't complain," you remind yourself, but this is your reality and none the less, it's hard. Why you? You struggle each day to paint a smile on your face and to hold your heavy head up. Brighter days are ahead. Keep pushing. Don't give up. Your triumph is your greatest testimony.

You Are Resilient.

To you who feels cornered. You can't take it anymore. You want to find the light, but darkness seems to overlay all that you know. Smothered by anxiety, you wish you could fly. If you could get away for just a moment, then maybe you could breathe. You can't fly and running won't solve the answers. Look deep inside yourself and you'll see the light you're searching for shines in you. You are life.

You Matter.

To the girl who wakes up every morning and looks in the mirror, long and hard, in search of who she is, This is for you.

You Are Enough. You always have been and you always will be.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
