You are Absolutely Amazing
WeHeartIt

There are around 7 billion people on this planet, but there is only one you. Only one person has your talents, heart, desire, goals, beliefs, and aspirations tied together into one being. We get so caught up in the commotion that society has created for us that sometimes we forget to step back and realize that no matter what is thought or said, you are you and that is the best thing you can be. The stress of every day life can wear us down sometimes and make us feel useless or not good enough, but you should never let others bring you down. Here is some inspiration for when you are feeling down:

1.Nothing is impossible the word itself says "I'm Possible!" -Audrey Hepburn

Every day we see extraordinary people accomplishing, inventing, and discovering new things. These people inspire us to try new things and strive for the best, but sometimes we try and try again and just can't get it. Always remember it took Thomas Edison 1,000 tries before he invented to light bulb. Nothing is impossible if you don't give up!

2.You can do anything, but not everything.

Sometimes we get caught up in the moment and forget that we are only human. Even though we try to accomplish as much as possible, sometimes that is not feasible. It is better to put 100% into one activity than 50% into two.

3.Dream Big.

No matter what, always follow your dreams. There is no better feeling than setting a goal and achieving it. And don't worry if you don't arrive to your final goal because as they say: Shoot for the moon, even if you miss you'll land among the stars.

4. Always be a first rate version of yourself instead of a second rate version of somebody else. -Judy Garland

Be yourself. God made you you for a reason. No one can be a better you than you.

5. Make yourself proud. -Peter W. Smith

You have to live with your actions and decisions for the rest of your life, no one else.

6. If at first you don't succeed try and try again. -W.E. Hickson

One of the greatest inventions ever created, the light bulb, took 1,000 tries to create. Dr. Suess's first book was rejected by 27 publishers. Michael Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team. Always remember that.

7. Surrender yourself to peace of mind.

Life can get overwhelming. One minute of meditation per day can help more than you think. Close your eyes, choose a word, and for a minute focus on it.

8. Each morning we are born again. -Buddha

Everyday is a new day. Start fresh. Forget the past. Focus on the now. Look for the future.

9. Today is a gift, that's why it's called the present.

The fact that you are alive today is a gift. Praise every second you get, and do what you enjoy.

10. Always look on the bright side.

Remember that someone out there has it worse than you.

11. What you see depends on what you're looking for.

Always keep a positive mind. Even though sometimes it's hard, always try to make a positive out of a negative.

12. Write your own story.

Society has turned many people into its robots. Be different. Be you.

13. Always smile big:)

Scientific studies show that smiling relieves stress and improves heart health. One smile can change both your and somebody else's day.

14. It's not the years in your life, but the life in your years.

With that said: Don't count the days, make the days count.

15. It's a great day to get better.

16. Be humble with just a hint of Kanye.

Lastly, an encouraging little ending. Keep your head up. Take your time. Be proud of yourself. Be Strong. Be Confident. And always remember: you are right where you are supposed to be.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
