The real deal about Feminism.

Yes, I Am A Feminist, And I Hate Men

Yes, I am a feminist, and I hate men. Even though the exact definition of feminism is defined as "the theory of the political, economic, and social equality of the sexes," I am a feminist, but I do not believe in equality; rather, I believe in complete world domination by women. Yes, I am considered a feminist that has so-called 'hi-jacked' the feminist movement. I am part of the reason why the feminist movement is completely dominated now by man hating feminists. Of course, as you should all know, the feminist movement is now a complete sham. There is no real feminism anymore, just us women thinking that we are better than men in every single way possible.

Oh god, that was so hard for me to write without losing brain cells, and the sad fact is that there are people that actually think this is the way real feminists think. Let me go more into depth about this.

First of all, feminism is not hijacked. In every movement, there is certain individuals that speak or act against the main intentions of the group. Then it is these words or actions that are caught in social media firestorms and bring a bad name to the movement. This is not just with Feminists, but with other activist groups as well such as Black Lives Matter. It is not okay to categorize or stereotype a group based on the actions of a few who 'claim' they do it in the name of the movement.

Second, if a 'feminist' tells you that they hate men, they are not a feminist. Plain and Simple. Do I find some actions by men as disgusting and annoying? Of course I do, but that does not mean that I despise every single man that inhabits the earth. I detest the fact that some behavior is being normalized among men (ex. Rape Culture) but I do not hate men themselves. There is a difference. As well as the fact that people seem to completely ignore the fact that men can be feminists too. Feminism is defined simply as equality of the sexes, and anyone can stand up and support this regardless of what you have in your pants.

It is time for people to stop picturing the crazy female protester they see in their heads whenever the word feminist or feminism is mentioned, time for people to stop imagining every feminist is a man hater, and it's time for people to stop making assumptions and actually learn the facts.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
