Writing started out for me as an outlet during the hard times when I didn’t have the stamina to do much. But quickly, writing became my passion. Depending on who you are and what your relationship is with me, I can either be the person that is “super quiet” or I can be a loud mouth. It really depends on what stage I was at in my life when I met you. When I started writing I noticed that even during my quiet times, the words I wrote on a page were loud and expressed my feelings better than the words that I could ever speak. So I continued to write. To me, it wasn’t important that my writings weren't being read by the public because I was writing for myself to get things off my mind, but as time went on, writing became more of a way for me to share.
When I had my first article published by the Odyssey back in September I was shocked that people were actually interested in reading the articles that I wrote each week, and that fueled the fire leaving me wanting to write and share more with you.
Writing has become something I look forward to doing. Instead of the articles being something I do to help myself, they have become an outlet for me to reach out to others. As I sit down to write my article each week, I have an increasing inspiration, and sometimes a dilemma. What do my readers need to hear this week? What do my readers enjoy? After looking back at all of my articles and the history of comments from everyone, I see you enjoy something raw and real. You seek something that will strike a chord within you.
Each week I share a piece of my life with you, but this week I felt inspired to try something different. This week I want to learn more about you. As you all know writing is my passion, I want to know yours, and what led you to it? I want to know my readers. I look forward to hearing your voice this week while learning something about you and the things that you love.
Thank you all for the spirit boost. Your comments over the past couple of weeks have uplifted me.
