There has always been hurt in our world. From the beginning of time to today, hurt is something we cannot run from. Hurt is never easy no matter how big or small it may be, whether it is the loss of a friend or family member or an attack on innocent people, hurt is always traveling behind us. But recently it seems like we cannot get a break from constant hurt to our humanity.
Something I've never been able to wrap my head around is why people take their anger from inner personal battles and turn it into the suffering of others. I'm also pretty positive I am not the only one who is completely lost and baffled by it. When it happens and is turned into an investigation, they look into many reasons why the person or people chose to do what they did because we want answers when tragedy happens. They look into reasons such as mental illness or "society pushed them to an outburst" or they will plead insanity; and in the end they are hopefully and rightly convicted and sentenced life in jail and or the death sentence. But, it still doesn't seem like life in prison or even the death sentence will help us feel whole again or will bring them to understand the pain they have bought upon us the families of the people who were innocently harmed and or taken from us.
Honestly, I don't know if it will ever make sense why people do those things they know will directly hurt others and our humanity. It is the times like these when the world hurts together and we have to remember that all of us are equals put on this earth for the same reasons: to love and be with each other. So, when the world is hurting why is it that all of us claim sides of what is right and wrong and what would've happened if this or that were changed?
John 14:27
27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
It is time that we all need to take into consideration that when hurt strikes, the world needs something that will positively turn it back from the terror and utter pain that has been inflicted on all of us. For people to stop blaming and ranting about what should've been done differently or whose fault it is; we need to turn the times like these into finding the faith and love that runs deep in all of us and bring that out to help heal others. The world is our home and we all need to remember that even when it seems like the world is only full of hate and could go up in flames at any given moment, we are all just humans made with the same elements placed here for the same reasons.
