Then: Short for family; Your biological family.
Now: People who are not biologically related to you but think of you as family.

Then: Someone who is dehydrated and longs for water.
Now: Someone who wants to engage in a sexual activity.
3. Sus
Then: Not a thing.
Now: Short for suspicious because saying the entire word is too much effort.
4.Fleek
Then: Not even a word.
Now: Something that looks nice. Since, saying nice is such a passe and fleek makes one sound so much more educated.
5.Dope
Then: Another word for drugs.
Now: An adjective used to describe something as “cool” or of interest.
6.Squad
Then: A platoon of people that is gathered for a mission or a specific purpose.
Now: Group of friends...who probably don’t even get together all at the same time.
7.Bruh
Then: It was spelled as bro, which was short for brother.
Now: Used to show that you’re annoyed by someone.
“BRUUUH”
8.Hoe
Then: An offensive term used for people who are very sexually active
Now: A term of endearment between close friends
9.“as f*ck”
Then: People were respectful then. So this wasn’t used.
Now: Just a suffix used to make you look loud and annoying.

Then: An object used to build things and use for means of repair.
- ex: Hammer, drill, screwdriver
Now: A person who lacks the knowledge of he/she being used by someone else.
11. Filthy
Then: Something that is dirty and needs to be washed.
Now: Something that is perceived as “cool” or awesome.
12.Twerk
Then: Not even a word.
Now: A popular dance move that involves shaking one’s butt in an arousing manner.
13.Hood
Then: a hood of a car, a hoodie, a neighborhood.
Now: Your dorm room, your table in the cafeteria, the building that all your classes are in.
14.Player
Then: A person who played on a sports team.
Now: A person who gets with a lot of people.
15.Sick
Then: Someone who isn’t keeping well.
Now: Someone who is doing extraordinarily great and reaching for the stars.
