Hello, your friendly neighborhood Wonder Woman fanatic. I'm back again with part two of a potentially never-ending series on why 'Wonder Woman' is the most perfect sight your eyes will ever behold. Diana, Princess of Themyscira and Queen of all our hearts, is truly a feminist icon. She's the role model we need but do not deserve. The movie is full of scenes to empower and inspire everyone who watches the film.
1. Diana vs Thugs in the alley
Steve immediately goes to protect Diana before quickly realizing that in this story there's no damsel in distress. It's refreshing to not see a power struggle, to watch Steve try to prove that he's still a man. From this scene, Steve realizes that Diana is much cooler and capable than he is, and he doesn't care.
2. A matriarchal paradise full of badass and capable women
If anyone knows where to get a one-way ticket to Themyscira then please help a sister out. Thank you Patty Jenkins for showing that women can interact with each other without petty jealousy, competitions, or catfights.
3. Antiope and everything about her
RIP, gone too soon. Antiope is the princess (Buttercup) turned warrior that everyone needs. Truly an epic fighter, loving aunt, and fabulous lesbian (and I'll fight anyone who disagrees with me).
4. Diana taking over and spitting the truth at the damn war council
Diana walks into the council and gives them a verbal dressing down. She translates their journal with ease, criticizes their war plans, and questions their character. She walks into a room full of powerful men and shows no fear, no undeserved respect, and speaks her mind with confidence.
5. Showing the soft side of Diana
Diana is an incredible warrior, but she's also extremely naive and innocent. She loves babies, ice cream, and is generally a good person. It's important to portray a woman who can be hard and tough but also sweet and nurturing.
6. Diana listening to no man (or woman, or god)
Diana does what she thinks is right, even when everyone is telling her it's too dangerous, too crazy, or too impossible. When you believe in something, you fight for it.
7. The clock tower scene

8. "I will fight for those who cannot fight for themselves"

9. NO MAN'S LAND
This. Scene. Is. Everything. Play this at my funeral, it'll honestly bring me back to life.Men behind you telling you to stay put, men in front of you trying to push you back. But she pushes forward and wins.
Fighting for something you believe in may not be easy. There may be people criticizing you, you could get hurt. People are going to come after you but you have to push through the oppression, wade through the ugly, and just keep walking.
10. Diana will always be there to fight
Even though things are ugly and a lot of times seem hopeless (ie the idiot in the White House), we must persist.
In conclusion (again), Wonder Woman (again)
