Women's Costumes Too Sexy?

Choosing a Halloween costume is already difficult especially with what women have to choose from...

HALLOWEEN IS COMING Y'ALL! It is the best holiday yet to exist, due to idea that you can dress up as anything or anyone you want to be.The opportunities are endless. But sadly, there is a downfall to this magical holiday: the oversexualization of women's Halloween costumes.

Have you ever been Halloween shopping and looked the selection for women's costumes? They are ridiculous. A prime example is, when you google search "women's hot dog Halloween costumes," you get a little something like this...

I didn't even have to put the word "sexy" in the google search to get results like this. If you would like to go as a sexy hot dog this year, this is the costume for you.

Most of the costumes you find in Halloween stores are too "sexy" and leave girls to pick and choose from a very limited selection. Either be a sexy hot dog or a sexy police officer? Your choice! Whatever girls end up choosing they will be seen as "sluts" and it is completely out of their control. This leaves an impression on young girls, that when they grow they will be expected to wear short skirts and leather dresses that suffocate your boobs, so that they can dress up for Halloween. Now don't get me wrong, if you want to be a sexy hot dog (why wouldn't you want to?) go ahead. No judgement here. If you feel confident in it, do you. But a change has to be made to the extremely limited selection women have when choosing a Halloween costume. Women shouldn't have to choose to expose their body to the cold October weather if they don't want to.

To the ladies out there, I wish you good luck on finding an awesome costume this Halloween and I hope you rock whatever you choose.
