Winter is the amazing time of the year where people brave the cold, bundle up inside, can drink hot chocolate without the worry of sweating, and can literally just use the excuse "it's too cold" if they don't want to move. This season is for the lazy ones, the lovers of nature, the snuggly ones, and the hungry ones. Winter is wonderful, here's why, and your argument is invalid.

1. Snow.

It's majestic. It's riveting. It's so beautiful. I love how snow sounds, that little crunch when you walk on it. I love how peaceful it looks while it's falling. I love how it can turn into chaos once it comes down harder. I love how puppies look when they play in it. Look at it.

2. It gives you an excuse to stay inside all day.

Let's wear fuzzy pajamas and socks and cuddle up under blankets while drinking hot chocolate and binge watching Netflix. This is much more acceptable in winter than any other season. You don't even have to leave your house, and no one will shame you for not going outside to enjoy the weather.

3. Cancellations.

Winter is God's gift to us for the hell that is summer. What gets cancelled because it's too hot? Baseball games. That's not fun. What gets cancelled because it's too cold? Work. School. The things that no one actually wants to go to because of the weather.

4. Fashion.

Because there is none. No one judges that huge puffy coat that goes down to your knees -- they're wishing they had one. Your over-sized fluffy ear muffs? Where did you get them? Ah, direct me towards the website where you ordered your ugly but practical snow boots.

5. Snow. Again.

6. Winter break and the holiday season.

A month off of school filled with holiday goodies and seeing your family? Score. You get to stay in with hot, home-cooked meals and snuggling with your pets. Summer just calls for Popsicles and sweating your makeup off. You can't snuggle in summer unless you want to share sweat and BO.

7. Blankets.

Fuzzy. Soft. Big. Quilts. Electric ones. Blankets are an extremely underrated product. I'll walk around my dorm with a blanket and a robe on, and you bet everyone who sees me is way too jealous.

8. Symbols.

I think that snowflakes, snowmen, snow angels, Christmas trees, ornaments, whatever else represents winter to you, are so darn cute.

9. Animals.

Now, where I'm from, I don't see some of these animals ever. But let's just appreciate some of these adorable winter-y animals that bless our hearts.

10. Activities.

Sledding, ice skating, snow men, snow angels, skiing, you name it. Winter is full of them.

11. I don't have to shave or look good...ever.

I have an extra coat on my legs and don't have to worry about my makeup or hair because it's covered by the multitude of layers that I have on.
