Winnie The Pooh Quotes To Live By

I've been obsessed with Winnie the Pooh since I was little. He's such a lovable character, and he makes me want to be a more compassionate person. I know he must inspire others too. He might be meant for kids, but adults can also learn a lot from him and his friends, too.

"If the person you are talking to doesn't appear to be listening, be patient. It may simply be that he has a small piece of fluff in his ear."

Alex Blajan

This quote holds a lot of truth. When we are struggling to get across something that needs to be heard because the person we are speaking to refuse to hear us, we tend to get frustrated.

But Winnie reminds us that we have to be patient with some people before they'll hear what we have to say, and before we can make any change.

"You’re braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think."

If I had to pick a life mantra, this would be it. I say this to myself anytime I feel insecure, and it helps tremendously.

"I'm not lost for I know where I am. But however, where I am may be lost."

Matt Howard

Every journey is valid, and no matter where you are on your journey, it's where you should be. Even if you're a few steps backward, you can always find your way again.

”Just because an animal is large, it doesn’t mean he doesn’t want kindness; however big Tigger seems to be, remember that he wants as much kindness as Roo.”

I think it's really important to remember this; everyone is deserving of love.

No matter how they may look or act, they will always be someone who desires love. We should all try to love people we deem as threatening or evil.

"You can't stay in your corner of the forest waiting for others to come to you. You have to go to them sometimes."

I think it's important to remember you can't always expect people to reach out to you first. Sometimes, you have to take initiative. It may seem scary, but you're way more likely to be successful if you at least try.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
