Everyone knows the obvious Presidential candidates and almost everyone I know is disenchanted with this year’s major contenders. Enter Will Smith: the perfect candidate for the 2016 United States presidency. Smith hasn’t made an official announcement of running yet, but he has been known to say that he could run and maybe should.

In an interview on The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast, Smith said, “As I look at the political landscape, I think that there might be a future out there for me. They might need me out there. This is the first year that I’ve been incensed to a level that I can’t sleep, you know? So I’m feeling that at some point, in the near future, I will have to lend my voice to the conversation in a somewhat different way.”

I happen to definitely agree. The presidency needs him, America needs him. Here is why.

1. He knows how to get the girl.

2. He is heart-breakingly selfless.

3. He already knows the government’s biggest kept secret: aliens exist.

4. Then, he saved the world from them.

5. Then, he saved the world from a zombie virus.

6. Then, he saved the world from robot domination.

7. He had to fight to leave the streets...

8. But kept a great sense of humor.

9. And, he has super powers.

It's also important to keep in mind how great Smith is as person, not just an actor. In the same interview from above, Smith also talked about his fame and his ambitions for his kids. “I tell my kids, ‘Be as unrealistic as possible, and then figure out how to make it real,'” Smith said. “The best things that have ever happened, ever, were unrealistic before they happened. So for me, I think being the biggest movie star in the world as a goal actually was too small.”
