Makeup seems to be very controversial these days. I am always seeing articles complaining or shaming girls who wear makeup. I see things referring to "cake face" or "this is why you should not trust women." While these things may be intended to be a joke, they are hurting many people.
Makeup is not meant for anyone but the sole person wearing it. It is not meant to attractive a bunch of men or women. Honestly, I do not buy $40 highlight for people who don't even recognize what it is (Champagne Pop, of course).
Makeup is an outlet. It is a way to express yourself. Often, it is to help gain confidence. If you have a zit, put some concealer on that sucker and no one will ever know. Bags under your eyes? You got it covered! Lips needing an extra pop? You have 50 different shades to pick from. It is nothing about who is going to see your face. It is so that you can be confident in your skin.
So stop shaming women who want to wear makeup. The amount of makeup on their face says nothing about them as a person. Women are beautiful and unique in every way and everyone expresses that differently. The way that they chose to do this is none of your business or concern.
So ladies, keep doing what you are doing. If you wanna put on so much highlighter that you glow in the dark, go right ahead. If you want your brows to look so perfect that people think they are tattoos, you darn well better do it. Don't let anyone make you feel bad for expressing yourself. Love the person you are and show that off to the world. If someone doesn't like it, then they don't have to be apart of your life.
