If you want to see a movie that will make you smile no matter how old you are, I recommend Zootopia. Not only is it one of Disney's classic fun and vibrant movies, but Zootopia has some very real undertones. The movie uses lovable animals to exemplify the best and worst parts of our society and teaches subtle life lessons that anyone, young or old can appreciate. Highlights of the movie, light and legit include...

1. A kind-hearted story featuring a bad ass female protagonist. (Who also just so happens to be a bunny).

Officer Hops is no 21 Jump Street cop. She knows what she has to do to restore justice in Zootopia and she is not afraid to let her small stature get in her way. She proves that she isn't just "cute" and that she can do anything that any elephant can do. And, she teaches that no determined little girl should settle for being a meter maid — she should save the world instead. The main message for all, not just aspiring female bunnies from Zootopia, is that we could all benefit from a reminder to never give up.

2. Sloths.

This scene speaks for itself, but basically, the movie does a great job of choosing the right animals for the right real-life characters.

3. It's impossible to watch this movie without seeing the overarching theme of acceptance and equality.

The utopian ideal in Zootopia is that anyone can do/be anything they want. This mindset begins to resemble our American society when the animals struggle with the "predator vs. prey" debacle. Some of the lowest points for the animals in Zootopia occur when they realize that they can't escape their biological categories, and it's obvious that the movie's message in the end is that equal opportunity is never going to come without hardships. However, as the animals of Zootopia teach us, if predators and prey work together despite their differences, life can be more enjoyable for all!

4. Shakira even makes an appearance in Zootopia (as a gazelle).

Shakira's new song for the movie, "Try Everything" is a total jam. Her character, Gazelle, is the Beyoncé of Zootopia, and she's powerful and flawless.

5. Ultimately, you will fall in love with the characters in this movie. They are witty, adorable animals after all!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
