Why You Should Drink A Gallon Of Water Every Day

So recently I decided to try the "drink a gallon of water every day for a month" challenge and I decided to do a quick review on it. So when I started this challenge, I was drinking about 2 soft drinks every day...with that being said, for the first week it kicked my butt. The first thing that will happen is you will need to go to the bathroom more than you ever thought you would. I was driving back to school one day from home and it felt like a bunch of rocks sitting on top of my bladder. If you drink soft drinks constantly then you know that there is a ton of caffeine in the drink. After about 2 or 3 days I was beginning to get major headaches from the lack of caffeine that I was drinking. After about a week the headaches started going away and I started to notice that I was starting to feel more energized and I rarely felt tired. One of my favorite things about this challenge was the weight loss. I kept my regular diet, but only drank water every day and I actually lost 5 pounds from doing that. After doing it for about 2 weeks I started to notice that I was sleeping better and I wasn't as restless as I usually am when I sleep. My biggest issue with this challenge was that it was so hard to stop drinking soft drinks just like that. The moment I made the pledge to do this challenge I instantly stopped drinking sodas which was probably the cause of the headaches. My advice for this is if you decide to try it, make sure to just drink a little less every day until you know that you won’t get massive headaches. Overall I believe that this challenge is something that everyone should try. There are some downfalls, but all of the bad things are over with within a week and they are nothing compared to the benefits. College and high school students should totally try this if they want to fix their sleeping habits, lose weight, and have more energy. Since doing this challenge my grades have gone up, I have lost weight, and I have been more involved on campus.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
