Anyone who doesn't have morning classes knows how difficult it can be to get your day started. Even though it's nice to sleep in, it's all too easy to hang around your room and not do anything until your first class. This becomes a problem when your first class starts at noon and all you've done for the day is go on Tumblr and have brunch. While having a slow morning can be refreshing every once in a while, getting into a routine that encourages this is dangerous for your health. Slow mornings lead to laziness, apathy, and a lack of motivation.
This is why I recommend early morning work-outs! Stay with me here, the benefits are numerous and to further entice you, I have included some mammal motivation.
Start early!
Scheduling an early morning workout gives you a reason to start the day. The simple act of planning to do something, whether it's working out or studying, will give you the motivation to start the day earlier. Working out has an added bonus of forcing you out of your room which limits the amount you can dilly dally before you begin.
Get it out of the way!
If you work out at night, you might spend the entire day dreading your workout. But if you get it out of the way first thing in the morning, your shoulders will be lighter and you will be free to spend the rest of the day as you please.
Get early morning energy!
It's no secret that working out releases endorphins, a body chemical that makes you feel more awake. So what better way to start your morning than to release a whole lot of endorphins, ensuring an energetic start to the day?
Get productive!
When you get yourself moving earlier, you will have more motivation for the day and have more time to get things done. That project you have due two weeks from now? Maybe you'll have some time to get it started today!
Have a great work out!
