Why Taylor Swift Is A Beautiful Human Being

Why Taylor Swift Is A Beautiful Human Being

Taylor Swift. One of the worlds most talked about and successful celebrities. And you know what? There's no question why she's so insanely popular, because she's not only talented - she's down to earth, she's authentic, she's genuine, and she's just an all around incredible human being who happens to be one of my favorites ever.

She makes fun of herself

She makes fun of herself ALL THE TIME. Her self deprecating humor is a breath of fresh air, and makes her that much more likable. The fact that she's aware of her awkward moments, but stays true to herself, is awesome.

She donates to charities

Even though she's really famous, she donates so much money to helps those that are in need. Goals.

She randomly shows up at weddings

Well, not exactly randomly - but you get the picture. Just, ya know, a wedding with Taylor Swift as guest, taking a little break from touring or spending time with her cats or her amazing squad. No big deal whatsoever. Make note to self: remember to call up T-Swift and invite her to my wedding...

She doesn't change who she is

I remember watching an interview where Taylor said "You don't like who I am? Watch me be myself even more", and I thought "YAS GIRL YAS". Taylor knows that there are those groups of people who despise her just because she's herself, but she doesn't care. She wrote the song "Blank Space" as a joke and because she is fully aware that media has labeled her "that girl who only writes songs about ex boyfriends". Talk about great wit.

She really, really likes cats

Olivia Benson and Meredith Grey. Need we say more? Taylor loves her fur-babies.

She's a feminist

Taylor has made it known that she stands up for women's rights, but also supports equality of all people in the world. Many people have mocked her for it, or called her a "bandwagon feminist", but I think those people are just ignorant. I don't think they're ready to understand that Taylor is way more intelligent than people give her credit for - and that's not fair. Keep supporting what you believe in, Taylor.

3 words: her dance moves

Oh, the infamous dance styles of Taylor Swift. Have you seen her dance? No, for real, have you? I mean, I'm pretty sure you have. Taylor knows that she's can't exactly dance, but she embraces it, which I honestly admire. You're weird, Tay! But that's okay! We love you for it!

She's just like us, honestly

Law and Order, pizza, cats, lounging around eating snacks and jamming out to Hilary Duff... yeah, you could say that she's pretty awesome even though she's won a gazillion Grammy's.

Well, except for the fact that she's incredibly famous...

But hey, that's no big deal, right???

We love you, Taylor. Keep being you. I'm so excited to see what the future has in store for you and for your fans.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
