All girls know the pain of period cramps. For an entire week it feels like your stomach is going to war, and your body is the battle field. In short it really, really sucks.

For twenty years I have been told that the only way to relieve the pain was by taking painkillers. Aspirin, Midol, and even ibuprofen, I had taken them all. I thought that these were going to be my only options, until I hit the stage in life where you wouldn't need them anymore. Then I ended up watching a video that changed my views very quickly on period treatments.

Women Try Whoopi Goldberg's Weed For Period Pain was the title of the buzzfeedyellow video. Being an avid watcher and maybe a little intrigued I clicked on it and watched. The video consisted of two women who both suffered from extreme menstrual cramps during their periods. For a week the volunteers were given the Soak, Savor, Rub, and Relax from the Whoopi and Maya medical cannabis products.

Now I know what you are thinking. Why the heck would someone think of using cannabis for period pains? Well, why not?

Watching the video I saw two women who had suffered for a long time seeking something other than traditional means. During the video I saw their faces and body language change into that of normal and carefree instead of frustration. It was amazing to see that something with such a small market making this big of a change.

The two genius' behind this discovery were legendary actress and talk show hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Maya Elisabeth, the founder of Om Edibles. The two came together, creating four products that would give the user relief for their pains. The first product is called Soak, which is basically a bath salt. The Epsom Salt bath dissolvent is grown in a controlled environment to keep the product pure. Once in the bath the product will be absorbed into the user's skin, being rich in magnesium and sulfate, the salts enter the bloodstream. The product is said to make the body go into a state of deep relaxation and relieve the pains of cramps. The bath soak comes in three fragrances Amber Moon, Lavender, and Fragrance Free.

Up second is called the Savor, the chocolate bean is crushed and infused with cannabis. It helps to relieve with inflammation, sleep, and cramping. The product is meant to be eaten by the user to help with their pains. Good news for chocolate lovers too! The third product is called the Rub, for all purposes it is what the namesake means. All the user has to do is rub the cream upon the place it is hurting, mostly noted, the stomach. Finally, the fourth product is called Relax. Relax is a medical herb that is infused with superfoods and cannabis that have been picked by the company.

Here is the thing about these products: you can either choose to use them or not. That is basically all there is to it. The products are made and infused with medical cannabis as a way to help woman when in pain and can even serve to help men too. Also the company has their entire ingredient list up on their http://whoopiandmaya.comwebsite for all to read. They are not trying to trick customers, it is just kind of straightforward.

In the end, I might even try it because anything is better than sitting in the dark crying over tv.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
