A Few of My Favorite Things: Mid-November
You guys, mid-November is magical! People wish it away because we’re between holidays and coming up on breaks from school and more holidays, but I’m about to tell you why you should slow down and appreciate yesterday, today, and tomorrow, too.
Why Mid-November is Underrated:
1. The weather is underrated. It’s chilly in a crisp, refreshing way. There’s no snow yet. It’s perfect for wearing cute sweater outfits and not have to cover them up with your warm jackets! The sun still warms you while you walk across campus. I’m writing with this view right now:
2. For those of us out there who are into coffee drinks but get stoked about flavor—being between holidays is prime! It’s still socially acceptable to be drinking Pumpkin Spice Lattes, but Starbucks has also started with the Gingerbread and Caramel Brulee and other dessert-y deliciousness. Good for your caffeine addiction and your taste buds!!
3: It’s an awesome time of year in the music industry; I’m talking one amazing album release after the next. Last week we got new music from Justin Bieber, Alessia Cara, Dot & Logic, and LE1F. This week: Enya, Adele, Shovels & Rope, and Smoke Fairies. Honestly does anyone have the time to listen to it all? The answer is we will make the time. The albums are that good.

4. No Shave November is in full swing. Everyone participating is starting to look a little like a lumberjack, and you’re into it.
5. Thanksgiving episodes of shows are always killer. Yes, it’s true. Don’t believe me? Watch some "Bob’s Burgers" Thanksgiving episodes. Have a towel and a new pair of pants nearby, because you will laugh hard.
6. It's finally socially acceptable to play and sing Christmas music. Joy to the World, amiright?
