The current generation of gaming has seen a tremendous spike of people who went out and actually purchased a gaming console from the current generations line up. Whether they purchased an Xbox One, Playstation 4, or both there seems to be a clear winner in this generations console war. The Playstation 4 is outselling Microsoft's Xbox One at an incomparable rate and it is becoming a lot more obvious as to why this is happening.

At the beginning of the Current generation of gaming, many wanted to blame the Xbox One’s unsuccessful launch on the fact that it had a bigger price tag on it than Sony’s Playstation 4. The price gap was due to the fact that Microsoft tried to force it’s Kinect technology on consumers and gamers didn’t necessarily like the fact that there would be a camera looking and listening to them at all times. If that didn’t make things bad enough, analyst discovered that the engineering under the hood of the Playstation 4 gave it a huge power advantage over the Xbox One in terms of processing games. Once this news surfaced the numbers began to heavily shift in favor of the Playstation 4.

If the Hardware mistakes that Microsoft made didn’t hurt Xbox One sales enough, the gaming titles that would be featured on the Xbox One did. One of the biggest factors that gamers take into consideration when determining which gaming console they are going buy is what gaming console is going to exclusively feature the gaming title(s) that they are anticipating. Unfortunately, Microsoft is failing at this only bringing a handful of pre-existing exclusives such as Halo and Gears of War, leaving Xbox One consumers wanting new exclusive franchises to be introduced to the console. Microsoft attempted to meet this demand by announcing the brand new Xbox exclusive, Scalebound, an RPG based game that seemed to receive a lot of anticipation and hype from Xbox fans all over the globe. Unfortunately, for unknown reasons, the game was recently announced to be canceled which seemed to disappoint the entire gaming industry. It's going to be hard for Xbox to compete with the Playstation 4 when Sony is releasing games such a Horizon Zero Dawn, which will most likely when some gaming awards in 2017, and Days Gone, which is one of the most anticipated games of 2017.

Despite all the hardships that Microsoft has faced with the Xbox One, all hope is not lost. Xbox spokesman Phil Spencer has given a little insight on the current state of the Xbox One and from some of the tweets he has made, Microsoft may have some hidden tricks up their sleeve. And considering the fact that the Xbox One S was a small step forward for the company, we shouldn’t underestimate what they have in store for the release of the Xbox Scorpio.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
