To the Creators and Cast of Girl Meets World,
There are shows that will make you laugh, shows will make you cry, shows will have you questioning everything, and shows will change your life. Girl Meets World is all of these shows.
For any of you who don't know, Girl Meets World was on Disney Channel. It was the successor of the show Boy Meets World. It had wonderful characters that taught me some of the best lessons I will ever learn. So here is my letter for the creators and cast of Girl Meets World:
Thank you for creating a show that has taught me so many lessons. Although I am in college, I learned a lot about life and the person I want to be by watching your show. I grew with the characters. I made the same mistakes and went through similar experiences. I cried. I laughed. Most of all, I related. I found myself lost in a show that I didn't expect to even like. When I first heard about the release of Girl Meets World, I didn't know how to react. I loved Boy Meets World, and I didn't want it to be ruined. But, I watched the first episode and instantly fell in love with the characters. They guided me throughout my issues and made me feel as if someone understood.
Life is hard. Sometimes we don't have a Mr. Feeny or Cory Matthews to teach us and guide our lives. These characters inspired me to be a better person. As ridiculous as it sounds, it's true. There is so much to learn from this show, and it's such a shame that it will no longer be on the air.
It was a very heartbreaking day when I found out that Disney canceled your show, due to it not getting a specific rating.
Thank you so much for showing me what a true friendship looks like. Thank you for inspiring me to be a better person. Thank you for guiding me through times where life did not seem so bright. Thank you for all of the laughs. Thank you for making my ugly cry. Thank you for showing me that I am not alone. And thank you for filling the series with wonderful young actors and actresses who are even more inspiring outside of their roles. I cannot wait to see what they do in the future. Just like the futures of their characters, I know their futures will be bright too.
Sincerely,
A Fan
