Everyone always makes fun of "the crazy cat lady". I can't count how many times my friends (myself included) say that we are just going to die alone with our 23 cats and be perfectly content. Let's face it guys, being the crazy cat lady isn't a bad thing, because really cats are awesome and we all know it.
If anyone read my last article, you should know I am a dog fanatic. Up until one night, four years ago I rescued a baby kitten from under my car at a shell gas station, my family's love and obsession for cats was nonexistent. Since that point, we have then rescued or adopted 8 more cats, to a whopping total of 9 inside cats. Yes you heard me. Nine. Nine cats running around the inside of my house. We are definitely outnumbered, but honestly it's awesome. So coming from experience and a little change of heart over the years, let me give you 5 reasons why cats rule.
1. Cats are funny
I know for a fact we are all culprits of watching funny cat YouTube videos. And yes, all cats actually do the funniest and the strangest things in real life too, not just online. You will constantly have entertainment with your cats, flying into windows in attempt to catch a bird outside or watching them run in circles for no reason. It's even better if you have more than one cat, then things get really weird. We all deserve a good laugh.
2. Kittens are adorable
Also, no one can deny that little itty bitty baby kittens are absolutely freaking adorable. Sure, when they grow up they might not be as cute, but when they are little they are just cute as can be. Everyone should experience that.
3. They are low maintenance pets
There is no need to wake up at five hour intervals to take them outside in order to house train them, or teach them to walk on a leash like a puppy. You just let cats go and they eventually figure it out all on their own with minimum clean up. 
4. Cats are independent
There is no constant need to play with them, because cats are usually rather aloof and will play with things on their own. Also, when they actually do show affection towards you, you feel satisfaction like no other and you know you are a great human being to receive love from a cat. 
5. Cats literally don't care
Unlike dogs, cats have no need to satisfy their masters. They just do whatever they want whenever they want and don't bother you. Cats are the definition of "you do you boo", and that's pretty cool. I wish I could be more like a cat.
