Why Americans Need To Call Donald Trump By His Forgotten Ancestral Name, Drumpf
The Quint

As the presidential election is rapidly approaching, a few things have slapped American citizens in the face. First, Donald Trump is the front-runner for the Republican candidacy. Second, 99 percent of todays college student population feels the Bern. And last but not least, Ted Cruz is the Zodiac Killer (as said by Twitter, of course).

The Trump name has been associated with wealth for as long as my parents can even remember, but why on earth are Americans voting him? His supporters say he knows how to run a business, he tells it how it is and he has no corporate funding. But... is any of that really true?

Most people have fallen under the Trump spell. Thinking that the elite name can pull the United States out of the economic downfall it has been in since the market crashed. His name holds more draw and power than Donald actually has. Here are four reasons why we need to start associating this man with his family name that they were too ashamed to keep, Drumpf.

1. Donald Drumpf is perfectly fine with committing horrific war crimes.

When asked what Drumpf would do about terrorism, his answer was to wipe out not only the terrorist cells but their entire families. This man feels that it is OK to kill innocent women and children, who might not even be in their families by choice, just to make a statement to terrorists. Yes, terrorism is a horrific thing that we have had to deal with as soon as possible, but that is no reason to slaughter whole families.

2. People of color are being dragged out and assaulted at his rallies because he says, "Their kind isn't welcome there"

If you are not white, you are not welcome in Drumpf's rallies and definitely not in Drumpf's America. Security, armed like they are on the front lines of a war zone, grab people of color from the crowd and drag them out of the rallies allowing bigots to beat them and verbally attack them on their way out. Is that the kind of person you want running your country?

3. He has gone bankrupt and had more businesses go under than anyone else.

Have you heard of Trump Vodka? How about Trump Airlines? Maybe you've heard about the more well-known Trump University? No? None of these things ring a bell? Maybe Trump Steaks that were exclusively sold at Sharper Image? No? Because these are just some of his business ventures that made him absolutely no money and went under faster than Dory from Finding Nemo forgets something. He has filed for bankruptcy more than once, but if you even comment on it once on a national platform he threatens to sue you for everything you have. So not only is he not financially responsible, like a child he doesn't like when you use your first amendment right to talk about his boo-boos.

4. You can't tell the difference between Drumpf and Hitler anymore.

Hitler was voted into office to pull Germany out of an economic depression post WWI, with his charisma and ability to have "plans" to fix the country and make it great again. He also placed blame of the downfall of Germany on certain people and made promises to fix the problems before they got worse. The world watched as Hitler banished Jews, Gypsies, people with mental disabilities and people of color to death camps to take careof Germany's problems. Isn't that exactly what Drumpf is doing? He wants to build walls around our amazing country, banish those who aren't like him and get rid of America's problems however he sees fit. He has publicly backed waterboarding and says that if he is elected that he will bring a lot worse to interrogation than just waterboarding. Are you ready to have the next holocaust on your conscience because you elected America's Hitler?

The Trump name may hold power, but while looking at Donald as a man, take the power away from the name. Remember him by the name his family was to ashamed to keep, Drumpf. Remember him by something so ridiculous it doesn't even sound credible — good thing it was in his biography, right?

Remember him as the failure he is. The man who is a racist and lets the latest Grand Wizard of the KKK back him without care. The man who can't even keep his business ventures up and running. The man who is following in the steps of the most hated man in recorded history. Never vote for Drumpf. Keep America great.... don't turn it into a concentration camp.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
