Hiding Behind Our Phone Screens Creates Cyber Bullies

Can you believe that it is 2017 and there are still people hiding behind screens tormenting others on the Internet? Bullying has no boundaries, and everyone is at risk no matter your age, culture or creed.

Each day we witness bullying become more and more prevalent. We also see more and more people suffering and contributing to it. Cyberbullying alone has exponentially grown to a point where there is no control or mercy. There are also little to no consequences for bullies behind these hateful acts.

Your words are actually harmful and can really affect others. In fact, your words can affect everything. These cowardly acts of bullying others with your words especially behind a screen really show the kind of people that exist. It shows what we allow to happen around us. Believe it or not, we all know someone that contributes to these ridiculous acts.

We can’t expect these things to stop or end if we don’t take the risk to bring attention to it and demand that it stop. We cannot keep evading this topic just because it might not be happening to us personally. Someone that you love and care about might be suffering from it. They might be suffering from the effects of someone else’s words over the Internet.

Internet trolls cannot be tolerated. It is a shame that cyberbullying is not considered a heinous crime. Our mental health is important, and should really be considered. We should not think it is ok to use our words to hurt others because it is how we feel and use freedom of speech to justify it.

We have allowed people to think it is ok to voice their opinions in ways that are full of hate and with malice over the Internet. It is detestable, and we have to band together to make it stop! Freedom of speech is a privilege; it does not a give us the right to parade on the Internet trolling other human beings based on our opinions.

It is so easy to make excuses and justify why we act out. It is so easy to revolt against what is right to justify our wrongdoing, but enough is enough. No one deserves it. No one deserves to hate him or herself or feel like they don’t belong on this planet because of you or some Internet troll feels likes it is ok to cyber bully.

If we ever want this to stop we must start with ourselves and with our inner circles and slowly demand they do the same and you will see how it spreads. Cyberbullying is not ok. If you are being cyberbullied you need to stand up for yourself and speak up! You deserve to be treated with humanity, and compassion no matter what you may have done or what people make think of you. No matter what you do not deserve to be ridiculed on the Internet or anywhere else!

Cyberbullies come in all shapes and sizes. Some are hidden behind a phone screen or a fake account because they are too afraid to take responsibility for their actions. They are too ashamed to really accept what they could be doing to another human being.

So my friend's let's stand to fight against cyber bullies and make this world a better place!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
