Why I Do Not Want Donald Trump As President

Why I Do Not Want Donald Trump As President

If you have access to any kind of news platform, it is safe to say that you have heard of Donald Trump. Trump, a "man" who used to be known as a celebrity TV host/ entrepreneur has, in the past year, decided to run for President of The United States of America.

TV host to president? Seems logical.

But hey, that's what the American Dream is all about, right?

You start off as a low-middle class american--- described by Trump as someone who can get a measly million dollar starter loan---and after years of honesty.

Efficient

Organized hard work you can achieve your dream of being anything you want to be.

But here's the issue I have with Donald Trump, he is not representative. To elaborate, the figurehead of a nation has to be in touch with all walks of life, all groups of people, and vow to give them-- without fear of public embarrassment, cyberbullying, harassment, etc-- the rights they deserve.

Rights Like Freedom Of Speech

Like this time, when he made fun of a Disabled Journalist for exposing his use of false statistics.

Not to mention him bagging on a contestant in his own failed beauty pageant. Simply because she is a contestant in a Trump owned event doesn't mean she no longer has the right to voice her opinion.

Freedom Of Religion

Trump stated these words at a recent rally, and has since then been under much scrutiny by the public. Aside from being an unconstitutional statement, (the religion of an immigrant can not be asked when he/she are immigrating to the United States) it is alarming as to how much of a hypocrite Trump is by saying these words.

One would assume that after remarks such as these, Trump would be an individual that would by all means do anything to avoid Muslims, but isn't it funny how according to The Washington Post, Trump earns millions of dollars every year doing business with Muslim Partners? Furthermore, some of his grandest real estate projects are housed in Islamic nations-- with the latest Trump Tower being made in Indonesia, a well-known Islamic country.

Would Trump's previous statements still apply when he bring his business partners to spend a weekend on his yacht? Probably not, so why should the millions of peacefully practicing Muslims be treated any differently.

Aside from Trump's hypocrisy, he strives to spread an Islamaphobic agenda. Many United States citizens base their knowledge about Islam simply from what the media tells them and since without a doubt, there's no one who barks louder than Donald Trump, many are using his prejudice ideologies to label all muslims.

These can be your neighbors, your children friends, your employees, your friends-- do no let the hatred that Trump has pulsing through his veins, poison your mind. Think for yourself, and become educated on matters regarding religion.

Freedom Of The Press

Donald Trump infringes on the rights of the press, when he publicly harasses them for doing their job. Specifically this time when he verbally attacked a Huffington Post writer, and made stabs at her personal life, simply because she shed light on his malicious political tactics.

And this time when he again attacked a female, Fox Anchor, calling her a "lightweight" after insulting her in a previous debate by claiming " she had blood coming out of.. her wherever."

If our own media is finding it unbearable to support a candidate like Trump, how are we going to look when his idiocy is broadcasted on global networks, he can NOT be the face of America.

Freedom To Peacefully Assemble

At a Donald Trump rally, an American citizen was escorted out simply because of her religious beliefs. Was she making a scene? Was she spouting ignorance, hatred, threats? Was she forcing her way of life upon anyone in the crowd?

NO.

This is why Donald Trump is a despicable candidate for president. His supporters, as seen in this video, are the one's harassing this women, "getting ugly" as stated by the CNN reporter, all because of the bigotry Trump is spreading.

This woman has loyally served her nation for years, and came to the rally in an attempt to show that Muslims are not something to be scared of. Instead, her attempts were met with horrific treatment. Prejudice seems to only be acceptable when it isn't happening to you, right? But keep in mind this is someone's daughter, mother, wife-- now imagine if she was your's? Would you let this treatment stand?

Furthermore, a president has to be a spokesperson for our respectable nation on an international level. How are we expected to maintain our reputation if we have a president who is a loose cannon? Donald Trump may appeal to a minor population as being the only politician who " speaks his mind," but please don't let what's on Donald Trump's mind be confused with accurate facts. Trump plays by his own rules, and prior to being granted any kind of federal power has already managed to anger a great deal of the population.

If we look at Trump's track record he, a proclaimed business mogul, has declared bankruptcy four times. How can we trust him to help our Country, that is struggling a bit as it is, to regain its vitality when he can not even manage his business honestly?

To continue, Trump claims that he will be the best leader America has ever seen.

HA.

Newsflash to Donald Trump, this nation is a DEMOCRACY, and your Fascist ideologies simply will not allow the nation to achieve any success. You want to ban all Muslims, build a wall from our drug dealing and rapist Mexican neighbors, #SorryNotSorry, but you can not. As, "comforting" and moral as those promises sound, our nation-- unlike you, Mr. Trump, has a functioning brain. This brain is called the Supreme Court, an entity that ensures the rights of all Americans regardless of their ethnicity, fiscal standing, or religious alignment.

A campaign based on hate will simply get Trump an extra 15 minutes of TV time, but what if he is elected president? Is this an individual we feel comfortable representing us in a diplomatic setting? You can't fire every world leader, just because you don't like them.

To conclude, Donald Trump has only given his concrete views on immigration thus fur, but has failed to give any real examples to back his claims, not to mention when asked how he would implement such actions he gave vague responses like, "it'll be huge, great, the best, or that he has great people on it."

When will we see an action plan?

When will we see his views on issues besides immigration?

When will Trump spend less time harassing journalists, and spend more time building a platform that isn't based on bad hair, racism, and false facts?

My guess is never. But hey, I'm just a minority woman, who identifies as a Muslim-- according to Trump what I think does not matter.

But remember, you have the power to prevent this atrocity from happening. For years, people have come to the United States at a chance for a better life, do not let that hope end by electing Donald Trump. Register to vote, so that your voice can and forever will be heard!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
