After recent events, Beyoncé has hit a sore spot with many people across the United States. Even so, that doesn't make her any less loved or powerful. Her "Beyhive" is sticking by her through all the negativity and here's why.

1. She shows the world that she's a normal person, even though she is Beyoncé.

For example, her songs are about her life, her adorable daughter, and her loving husband. She also likes to keep her whereabouts and projects on the down low instead of flaunting and publicizing all over the place.

2. She's a powerful role model for women AND MEN.

Yes boys, even you. Beyoncé not only gives women of the world the confidence, advice, and empowerment they need, but she also gives men advice on how to (and not to) treat a lady.

3. She and Jay-Z are relationship goals.

She talks about it in a number of her songs, but they have been together for over 10 years and are still going strong. One of the only Hollywood couples that are truly in love and aren't letting fame come between their relationship.

4. She's a great mom.

I have the absolute best mom in the world, and I wouldn't trade her for anything. But let's just say Blue Ivy is one lucky girl to have Beyoncé as her mom. She rarely lets paparazzi take photos of Blue, and she didn't want to display her picture to the media for quite some time, until recently. Blue did make an appearance in her latest music video "Formation," as well as the video for the song about the little cutie aptly titled "Blue." But before that Bey rarely let her daughter in the spotlight for her own protection. You go Beyoncé.

5. She's not afraid to stand up for what she believes in.

Bey isn't afraid to state her opinion, even if it'll get her in trouble. She is passionate about what she stands for, especially if it's a serious issue (i.e. feminism, racism, etc.).

6. She believes in empowering natural beauty.

Sure she may wear extensions, makeup, and a blinged-out outfit, but underneath it all is a woman who believes that being yourself and showing your true self to the world is what matters. In fact, as mentioned in her new song "Formation," Bey doesn't touch a hair on her beautiful baby's head (literally). She loves her adorable, natural hair and wants to make sure that Blue, as well as her fanbase, is comfortable in their skin.

7. She is the definition of an independent woman.

Beyoncé doesn't need to answer to anyone. She does exactly what she wants, when she wants, inspiring people across the world to follow in her footsteps and take a stand.

8. Her fan base is astronomical.

I'm talking millions of fans. Millions. Her Twitter alone has 13 million followers. Her extremely devoted fan base who call themselves "The Beyhive" (I am a part of this group) must believe she is doing something right. I mean, would she have so many fans otherwise?

9. She's a total diva, but also really down to earth.

She knows she's gorgeous, she's aware of the power she has, and yet she's still humble, sweet, and is a good role-model for her fans.

10. Beyoncé is actually hilarious.

Believe it or not, Bey is quite the comedian. She was in "Austin Powers in Goldmember" which was an insight to her comedic ways, but her personality is silly, authentic, and she shows the world she's human by acting a little weird sometimes.

11. She gives back to those in need and strives to change the world for the better.

She's a philanthropist, works with many organizations, and writes songs about important issues. All these reasons and more are why Beyoncé is really Queen of the World. All hail Queen Bey.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
