Why I Appreciate Photography

Every since my sophomore year of high school, I have been in love with photography. I originally took my first photography class because I needed to fulfill my art credit to graduate. I am so glad I decided to take it, though, because I haven't stopped loving it since then.

Photography has become my hobby and I always enjoy taking photographs when I can. It has become a stress reliever to me at times.

It has taught me to appreciate the things that other people do not see, whether it be a person's smile or the beauty of a landscape. Taking photographs of someone lets you see the true beauty of someone, but also allows you to show the world what you see through the lens.

I try and take photographs also to capture the moments of life. Life is so busy nowadays that people forget to stop and enjoy it. Taking a snapshot of a memory preserves it forever and that's one of the many reasons why I love photography.

Photography is more than just taking a picture with your phone. In brief, it is the few things that I mentioned above but also it is a creative outlet for people and much, much more.

Photography is something unique to me and I will be forever grateful for it!

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
