Who Run The World? Beyoncé

Beyoncé is one the greatest performers of all time. Beyoncé is goals from head to toes. Everything about her is just perfection. You might have guessed already but yes, I am part of the BeyHive. How would you not be?

1. SO. MANY. GRAMMY'S.

Beyoncé has won more Grammy's than you can count on both your hands. She has won a total of...are you ready? Okay. She has won a total of 20 GRAMMY'S. That's just insane overall. She has been nominated 53 times as a solo artist and as a group when she was with Destiny's Child. FUN FACT: Beyoncé is the most nominated woman in history. She has numerous of other awards as well from BET Awards, Image Awards, MTV Movie Awards, People Choice Awards and so much more. Basically, if Beyoncé is in the category, she is going to win.

2. Who Run The World? Girls!

Beyoncé has multiple songs about women empowerment. From her smash hits, "Single Ladies," "Formation," "***Flawless," "Run The World (Girls)," "Diva', 'Grown Woman," and so much more. She has come out numerous times saying her beliefs on women's rights and the equality of all. Her song '"***Flawless," Queen Bey added the voice of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie as a feature on the song. Chimamanda said," We teach girls to shrink themselves to make themselves smaller. We say to girls, "You can have ambition but not too much, you should aim to be successful but not too successful, otherwise, you will threaten the man." Beyoncé impacts women on empowerment everyday because she stands for equality of all.

3. BEY + JAY = GOALS AF <3

Jay-Z is one lucky fella. Bey and Jay are literally goals in every way. In my opinion, they have been together for like 13 years. They have been married since April 4th, 2008. Instead of giving each other rings, they got matching tattoos on their ring fingers. It doesn't get any better than that. They also have smash hits together has well, "Drunk in Love," "Crazy in Love," '"Upgrade U," "Deja Vu"and many more. They finally had a beautiful daughter as well, her name is Blue Ivy. Beyoncé is an icon in her own way, Jay-Z is an icon in his own way. Overall, they are one power couple no one can touch.

4. HIT after HIT after HIT

Lol. Get it? Anyways, anything she puts out is a hit. She put out two albums out over night and they were hits. Her newest project "Lemonade"was a HBO mini movie, she released the album a little after and it went straight to the top. You can relate to at least on Beyoncé song. No matter how bad you want to deny it, you relate. From "Crazy in Love" to "Freakum Dress"to her smash hit "Single Ladies." No matter what song she makes, you'll love it. She writes her own music as well. She has had 22 number one hits. She has made her mark and she isn't going anywhere in the music industry anytime soon.

5. Destiny's Child

You can't mention Beyoncé without thinking of how she was apart of one of the most icon girl groups ever...DESTINY'S CHILD. Beyoncé, Kelly, and Michelle were just the most perfect match ever. From their hits, "Solider," "Cater 2 U," "Lose My Breath

," and many more. They were together for 16 years in total from 1990 to 2006. Destiny's Child's other members included Latoya Luckett, Latavia Roberson, and Farrah Franklin. This girl group was the definition of best friend goals. This platformed Beyoncé into the star she is today. The other girls went on to have successful careers. Kelly Rowland is being the goddess she is and Michelle Williams is doing music as well.

6. Quadruple Threat

Singer, actress, dancer, and business woman. She is the definition of quadruple threat. Singing is a given because she's just a natural born talent at that. She was in the movies such as "Dreamgirls," "Obsessed," "The Pink Panther," and so much more. She is known for her amazing dance moves. She is the creator of the "Uh Oh" dance back when she did "Crazy In Love." She is a fantastic business woman because when she name drops anything in her song it goes up. For example, when she did "Formation," she said, "When he f*** me good, I take his a** to Red Lobster." After she said that, Red Lobster's ratings went up. Beyoncé is just a quadruple threat. That's all.

7. FASHION ICON

Anything Beyoncé puts on just makes me scream, "YAAAAS BEY YAAAS." She can do no wrong. She has been on every fashion magazine from Vogue, Bazaar, Glamour and more. She was announced CFDA's Fashion Icon for this year. Not a surprise because she is. She has her own style and doesn't care what anyone says about it. Beyoncé is known for in her concerts wearing a leotard which sounds simple but because it's Queen Bey herself, it looks royal. Beyoncé is fashion.

8. Live As F***

This has been a dream of mine since I was a kid to see Queen Bey herself. Her concerts are so iconic and so monumental. The tickets range from 61 dollars, which is at the very top, to a grand total of over 12 thousand dollars. Personally, 12 thousand dollars is worth it to me. She has people of all ages coming to her concert because her music relates to all people. Beyoncé is known for being a performer. Almost all her concerts get sold out in minutes. She has an all-girl band that travels with her. I promise you, I will see Queen Bey in concert sooner or later.

Beyoncé has her own day. Just kidding, it's just her birthday but bees of the BeyHive call it 'B-Day'. September 4th, 1981, is her birthday so y'all better than the God above for creating Beyoncé.

I love Beyoncé and will always love Beyoncé. She's my favorite person ever.

XOXO,

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
