We all have something that we truly, deeply love to do. Sometimes life can take over and you forget about the things that really make you happy. I'm not talking about the things that happened to make you smile when you were doing them, but the things that you couldn't imagine your life being fulfilled without. The things that make you into the person you are, are your passions.
School, friends, and work are three things that are important to most of us, but sometimes cause us to be so filled we get lost. Being busy with all three of these can cause us to lose a part of ourselves along the way.
With school, we become clouded and become so focused on our grades that we sometimes forget why we're working so hard in the first place.
With friends, we can sometimes cloud our judgment by being so immersed in their passions that we forget what our own passions are.
With work, which is that seemingly endless goal that we're all working for in school we can also lose sight of our passions. Work can end up being your passion, but if you have one's outside of that, don't lose those to search for a goal that may never happen.
Passions are something that will always be part of a person because it is what makes every individual themselves.
When we begin our college careers many of us choose to take the most practical path in life. With that comes the idea that we have to lose our passions along the way to fulfill the best possible futures for ourselves. One does not have to go away in order for the other to work. Sometimes our dreams can fit into our career paths. It just takes realizing how much of yourself you are willing to give up to live someone else's idea of an ideal life.
It's never too late to find your passion again.
