When You're Feeling Like You're Just Not Enough

Everyone experiences the feeling of not being good enough. Not being good enough for your boyfriend or girlfriend, your family, your job, or even yourself – everyone goes through it. When this feeling hits you, it’s hard not to go down a dark and twisted road. It’s even harder to find your way back to the light. Many things contribute to the disturbing feeling of finding yourself disappointing, but there’s also many ways to get back on track. While you may be feeling something like this right now, remember that you are here and you are loved.

When you feel like you’re not good enough, remember how loved you truly are. You are blessed with a wonderful family; they are your best friends and support system all wrapped up into one. They love you more than you will ever know, and they sincerely believe you are as much a blessing to them as they are to you.

When you feel like you’re not good enough, remember you are here for a reason. God makes no mistakes when creating someone, and you are no exception to that. He has a plan for you, and He is waiting for you to fulfill His dreams for you. Trust in Him and realize the true beauty your life holds.

When you feel like you’re not good enough, remember how far you’ve made it. You’ve faced plenty of uphill battles, but you have survived every single one of them. You are a fighter and you always will be. You are stronger than anything you face, and you have the will to get through any troubles you face. Remember you have a 100% success rate when facing personal battles, and that’s something to be proud of.

When you feel like you’re not good enough, remember what you want your future to look like. Chances are you’ve been dreaming about this future for a while now, and you shouldn’t let anything stop you from reaching your goals. Remember the giddy feeling you get when planning for your future and let that be your motivation.

When you feel like you’re not good enough, remember no one is perfect. Everyone has flaws and everyone makes mistakes. Every mistake you make in life will teach you a new and valuable lesson. Learning from them will help guide you to self-acceptance. What makes the difference between people is if you accept your own flaws. Embracing your flaws will lead to internal happiness and a greater self-worth.

When you feel like you’re not good enough, remember everything happens for a reason. You may not understand why you are in such a deep and dark place, but eventually, you will see that you had to be here to get to where you’re going. What’s meant to be will be, and you will be okay in the end.

When you feel like you’re not good enough, remember that failure is part of success. How could you know what works the best if you don’t find what doesn’t work at all? To be successful, you must experience what failure feels like and motivate yourself to never feel that way again. What’s important here is how you move past what is hurting you, whether it be a personal issue or one caused by an outside source. Move past the hardships onto bigger, better, and brighter things.

When you feel like you’re not good enough, please remember that you are loved. You are so loved and worthy, and nothing you can do, say, or feel can ever change that.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
